chapter 9

"okay so we got high, smoked a joint and then had shower sex"  I say and all the girls mouths dropped, and I started laughing so much. "why are you laughing?!" Mads asks "because you guys thought I was serious" I say laughing even more

"oh come on!" nessa groans "I was really excited for a second!" she says, and I laugh again "I'm sorry I just don't know what you guys expected. me and Bryce are friends!" I say "plus me and Dylan decided we were exclusive last night" I say blushing and all of the girls scream. 

"Aw addi I am so excited and happy for you!" dixie says giving me a big hug "I know I know" I explain the details of our first date, bbq, lunch date and I talked about Bryce and Elle. 

"wait the girl with the really nice body beside you?" Madi asks "how did that even happen?" she asks looking all disgusting. "yeah" I say nodding my head "she was running when he ordered a pizza and he asked for her number" I explain 

"right in front of you? even if you aren't together that's a bitchy move" Avani says "no I was on a date with Dylan" I say and all the girls go "ohhh" and smile at eachother "what?" I ask in confusion

"well you were out with Dylan so he went to go for someone else. He felt lonely and jealous" Dixie says and the others smirk "what? no that's not true. Bryce and I are friends, and you guys know him. If he seriously had feelings for me he would 100% tell me before I went with Dylan" I say

"whatever you say" Madi shrugs. The girls and I talk for hours, eat ice cream, and watch friends before falling asleep. The next morning I get a text from Dylan

Dylan

d-hey, lunch today?

a-yeah sure :)

Once I finish responding to Dylan I get a text from Bryce. 

Bryce

b-hey can we talk sometime today?

a-sure, I can come by sway sometime today after 3

b-k I'll be here 

After breakfast, Dixie gives me a cute pink/ peach long sleeve top I can wear with blue ripped jeans for my lunch date with Dylan. So Griffin and Dixie have started dating now, and Madi is talking with Chris from the clubhouse. I'm the only single one, for now.

I drive over to the diner and see Dylan waiting for me. We order our food and I just could not stop staring at him, he is so great. funny, cute, charming, respectful, and he really does have a nice body

After lunch we go on a walk to get ice cream when I see fletcher from around the corner "Dylan pretend you're a fan" I say, and he pulls out his phone once Fletcher comes near us. 

"hey Addison could I get a picture?" he asks "yeah of course!" I say smiling and bending over for the picture 

"hi Addison" fletcher says and I give him a wave. I give Dylan eyes and he walks the other way after "getting his picture" "so what are you doing out here?" he asks "oh I was just getting some ice cream, I was in the area shopping and the ice cream looked really good so I thought I would try some" I explain "what are you doing here fletcher?" I ask 

"I was just looking around and I got a text saying that you were here but I will be on my way now, thanks Addison!" he says and I wave to him. I walk over past the benches and see Dylan sitting near a tree eating his ice cream

"sorry" I say sititng down "I'm not embarrassed of you if that's what you think. You're just so great and I want to keep our relationship private for now. Especially since you're not a tiktoker or influencer and nobody know you" I say and he smiles

"I know, I get it" he says "but can I just ask you one thing?" he says "anything" I respond "you know instead of just hiding some guy wouldn't you rather hide your boyfriend?" he asks "what do you mean?" I ask "would you rather me, the guy you hide be your boyfriend?" he asks and I still stare at him in confusion making him laughing

"Addison I'm trying to ask if you will be my girlfriend" he says "oh!" I say "yes! of course!" I say giving him a hug and pecking his lips. "woah I'm sorry it took me so long to realize that" I say and he laughs even harder. 

I get back in my car and check the time 3:45, I drive over to Sway and I can't wait to tell my friends, and family the news. I guess Bryce will be the first one to hear! 

I arrive at Sway and walk through the door revealing Bryce sitting on the couch. "hey" I say closing the door and he waves "where is everyone?" I ask "who knows" he laughs getting up 

He gives me a hug and we walk to the kitchen "so what's up what did you want to talk to me about?" I ask "oh uh-" he starts to say but I cut him off "I have to tell you! Dylan is my boyfriend! he asked me today" I say shining my smile at him "wow that's uh wow! great I'm so happy for you!" he says coming over to give me a hug 

"sorry to interrupt you I was just so excited to tell you!" I say and he nods "so what did you want to tell me?" I ask again 

Bryce's POV:

well now I have to make something up, I can't tell her the real reason I wanted to talk to her she can't know the truth. 

"uhm I just wanted to ask if you were comfortable with me asking elle to be my girlfriend" I lie "oh yeah of course, why wouldn't I be?" she asks. I have to think fast again "because she's your neighbour and your friend, and I just wanted to see where you were at with that" I say 

Wow that sounds like a load of crap I really hope she buys it. "Of course I'm okay with it Bryce, I want you to be happy and Elle is amazing, she's pretty, nice, and she is so fit" she says "if elle is what makes you happy, then you do it" she says shooting me a big white toothed smile

"thanks" I say giving her another hug 

"well wow look at us, being friends and mature and dating other people" she says and I laugh "yeah, look at us" I repeat
