I walk into his house and he trails behind me. "we need to talk" I say. He nods his head and points me to his room
I walk in and he closes the door behind me. I sit on his bed and bite my nails nervously "don't do that" he says pulling my hand away
"now whatever it is I know you're nervous to tell me because your fingernails are almost completely chewed off" he says making me laugh
"listen it's kind of important. and big" I say and he nods trying to follow along "what are you trying to tell me Addison?" he asks
"I'm I'm" I start but stop myself "what I'm about to tell you doesn't change anything between us" I say and he slowly nods
"can you just tell me" he says "I'm I'm pregnant" I say. He looks at me, stunned. "and you're the father, Bryce" I say finally revealing who the father is. It's the first time I've said it out loud
"what are you doing with it?" he asks "I mean it's obviously your choice but what are you doing?" he asks "I'm keeping it" I say and he nods
He gets up and puts his hands over his head "you don't have to be involved if you don't want too" I say "what? no of course I want to be involved it's just this is a lot" he says starting to pace around
"I know Bryce, I'm sorry" I say feeling tears prick in my eyes "Obviously neither of us meant for this to happen but it did. But seriously Bryce if you're not ready nobody needs to know that you're the father" I say
"and you don't have to be involved. I understand why you wouldn't want too you have so many good things coming for you and I don't want to make this a burden so please just do what you want and I won't be butthurt or anything" I say
"Addison of course I want to be involved" he says continuing to pace around the room "I mean that's my kid!" he says, but stops pacing. He starts to smile
"that's my kid" he says before I see his smile turn even bigger "that's my kid! I'm going to have a boy or a girl, and I'm going to be a dad" he says sitting beside me
He hugs me. "we're going to be parents" he says still holding me. I laugh "yeah I guess we are" I say pulling away and wiping a tear from my eye
"happy tears" I say and Bryce laughs. "I mean is the timing ideal? no but who cares because we're going to make this work" he says and I nod
"yeah" I say. Bryce goes in to kiss me but I push him away "Bryce I told you this wouldn't change just because I'm pregnant" I say
"but you told me you were in love with me" he says "yeah you told me that too but still stayed with Elle" I say and he looks down "I'm sorry" he says
"you don't have to be sorry" I say "things just aren't going to change, we're going to be parents who have a kid but they aren't together" I say
He nods. "yeah, that works" he says. I hug him before walking downstairs and the rest of the boys are sitting at the table "so how was the sex?" Josh asks
"wouldn't know. haven't had any since prom" I say and they laugh "Bryce!" Jaden yells "come get her you didn't satisfy her enough" he says making the rest of the boys laugh
"see you later guys" I say before they wave to me and I drive over to Dixie's. I open the door and say to her parents, and Charli and Avani who were going out for a party now
"uh don't you want to know" I say pulling Charli's shirt. "we can be a little late" Avani says taking her shoes off
The three of us go into dixie's room where we find Nessa, Dixie, and Mads sitting on the bed. Mads pats the bed and I go sit beside her
"did you tell him?" Dixie asks and I nod. "you want to guess who it is?" I ask "this should be fun" nessa says hitting her vape
"ness you do know that I am pregnant now and going near that stuff can't be good for the baby" I say. She puts it away "I'm sorry I won't I'm sorry" she says and I laugh "all good" I reassure her
"I think it's Bryce's" Dixie says "same" Nessa agrees "I don't. I think it's Dylan's because she hadn't been having sex with Bryce for months before prom and it just happened after one night?" Mads asks
"ou I agree with Mads" Charli says "I'm on the fence!" Avani says "just choose" I say "okay I'm going to go with my gut and say Bryce" Avani says
"well ding ding baby daddy Bryce hall!" I say and the girls basically all scream "oh my god!! What did he say??" Dixie asks
"well he told me that he knew it was my choice what I was going to do, and then I told him he didn't have to be involved and he was really nervous at first but then he was actually really excited" I explain
all the girls look at eachother and go "awww" "Addi I am so happy for you but we got to go" Charli says poking Avani. I say bye to them and sit closer to the others
"that's awesome Addi I am so happy that this is all going to workout for you. Honestly I was kind of hoping I was wrong" Mads says and I laugh "yeah, he tried to kiss me afterwards though" I say
and it's like the room froze. "what" Dixie asks "yeah but I pushed him off and told him nothing was changing" I say "nothing is changing?" nessa asks "you guys are having a baby together!" she screams
"want to shut up" I say pointing to the open door "oops" nessa says before dixie gets up to close it. "but Addison things are changing" she says "you love him, so why are you going to push him away" she asks
"because he chose elle. I don't want him to choose me just because of a baby" I say and the girls go silent "yeah you're right" mads says "good for you and him for both being mature about it" she says
I smile "yeah" after I told the girls I went home and had to think of a good way to tell my mom. I walk in and I see my mom drinking some wine. "hi honey" she says patting down the chair next to her
I sit down and she holds my face "want some wine?" she asks "no Im okay" I say "honey is everything okay?" she asks "yes I just cant drink wine because" I start "i'm pregnant" I say
