Some people believed that things happened for a reason. I wasn't sure how they could justify that when bad things happened—like, oh, say, an alien attack on New York. A dark organization rising from the shadows, swallowing its rival. A murderous robot who had no intentions on living in a world where humans existed.
Let's not forget the mere humans who just wanted to watch the world burn.
And now...now...
All the past fights. All the times we saved the world prior to this...those were mere mock matches. This, what we were about to find ourselves in, was the true test.
