Hi, my name Anastasia Shanice Harris. I am 19 years old and I moved from Louisiana to Texas at the age of 3 with my older brother Damien and my mother Trina.
I didn't have the best upbringing considering I had watch my mom sell herself for money to keep a roof over our heads to bullying from both my family and classmates.
I had a difficult time making friends because of my Dysphemia, a speech disorder I've had since I was born and also my skin color since I was in a predominantly white and Hispanic school. At home, my mother would make a face every time she saw me and say how much she hates looking at me because I remind her of my father and my brother just didn't claim in and out school and would watch me get bullied verbally and physically.
My dad isn't in my life because he didn't know I existed. My mother moved us away after realizing that my father wasn't gonna leave his wife and wanted to take me with him. I always wondered if his thought about me and was looking for me... anyways, while getting bullied by a girl I despise til this day, I met my best friend Amelia. She has been by my side everyday and even taught me how to fight in her uncles boxing gym. I graduated high school at the age of 17 two day before my birthday. I had save up enough money from working at a local dinner and bought me an apartment two hours away from home, now I'm in college to become a Midwife. Follow me on my journey on learning how to let go and love.
