Flashback
He gets out the car and comes around to the passenger side opening the door then shuts it once I get out, "It was nice hanging out with you Ms. Anna."
I nod my head giving him a soft smile, "Likewise Mr. Aiden." I look down at my feet and he lifts my head up with his finger, " Can I have the pleasure of taking you out next Saturday Anna?"

Flashback Over
I look at home a little shocked and pull my face away from his, "I don't think that is a good idea." He steps back and puts his hands in his pockets.
"Why do you say that? Do you have a boyfriend or something?" I shake my head no and look out into the streets. He takes out his phone and hands it to me, "Well can I at least get you number so we can talk and get to know each until your ready to go on a date?" I take his phone and put my number in and we both say goodnight and go our separate ways.

Austin, Texas
8:25 am
The next day I wake up and start my online schooling. After, I put on my scrubs and head to the campus to take my tests and start my research project with the help of one of the license professional Midwife Nurse. I get back to my apartment a couple hours later and start cooking me something to eat. As I cook, I start thinking about Aiden and why he hasn't called or text me all day.
Did I do something wrong? Was declining his offer to take me out wrong? Did he find someone better looking than me? Or is he phone broken? I shake my head and try to forget about him as I finish cooking. I hear my front door open and my best friend call out my name. As I fix me a plate and sit down at the counter with my bottle of water, Amelia walks in and leans on the counter in front of me.

"I know you're upset with me since you haven't answered any of my calls or texts today, I just wanna say that I'm sorry for bailing on you like that. It was wrong of me but I knew you wouldn't have come with me since you had school and work tonight. It was still wrong but please forgive me bestie."

She makes a sad face with her bottom lip poked all the way out. I laugh and shake my head, "I was never mad just disappointed but I forgive." She smiles and comes around to hug me and sit next to me.
"So how was the ride home with my boss?" I shrug my shoulders and smile a little, "It was nice, he is a nice guy and gentleman. He would not let me open let alone touch and door handles." We both laugh.

"So are you guys going on a date or what?" I shake my head no, "You know I'm not ready for a relationship especially after what happened with my last one." I look back down at my food as I push it around my plate. "That was so long ago Anna and plus who said anything about a relationship, he probably can knock those cobwebs off your cooch." We both laugh and I shake my head.

"I don't have cobwebs on my lady part first off and second I am not looking for that either. Plus I gave him my number, he just hasn't called or text me yet."

She squeals, "My best friend is finally about to come out that shell of hers, he will call though. Who would pass up on an opportunity to get with my wonderful, talented, intelligent, and beautiful best friend."
I blush a little and for the rest of the night we talked about everything we could think of and watched movies until it was time for me to go to be since I had work in the morning.
