After class ends Cameron comes up to me. "Hey, I'm Cam--" I cut him off. "I know... I'm not interested". "Huh...ok then" he walks away. I wasn't looking for boys. I wanted a life and according to my mom...that's what you don't get when you're dating. I go to my next class which is dance. I loved dance and always had a passion for it, I never got to be in it though. I walked in to see a huge room with a giant mirror and a quote on the wall that said "dance like nobody's watching". A young lady about in her 20's approached me. "Hi I'm Mrs.Little, the dance teacher here."
"Hi I'm Mandy, I'm new to Ocean View."
"Good to meet you Mandy. We'll be starting class soon so just sit tight."
As I examined the room I saw group pictures of the school dance team. "Is this the dance team?" I asked. "Ya that's from last year" Mrs.Little replied. I examined the picture closely and I noticed Cameron. Soon people started entering the room. First, a girl came in, she was wearing a skirt, with thigh high socks, and a crop top. She gave me a look, I just smiled. She walked over and said, "Are you like new or something?" "Ya I'm a sophomore, Mandy." I said as a reached out to shake her hand. "Oh same...OMG HEY BABE" She ran over to a guy and hugged him. Then I saw Cameron come in. He saw me and walked right over to me, but was interrupted when Mrs.Little said, "ok its a new year and I need to see where everyone is on dance skill level, that means solos! Ok we're going to do this in roll call order who's first?!" Everyone did a hip hop solo. Afterwards she made an announcement. "Ok some of you are new and I would greatly appreciate if the following students will come to me after class. Alex, Brianna, Bethany, and Mandy. I would also appreciate if these people would be their "dance mentors". Umm, let's see, Hayley, Jacob, Mason, and Cameron. Are you clear with your partners? No? Ok, Hayley and Alex, Jacob and Brianna, Mason and Bethany" I looked over at the girl who came up to me, who was happy she got partnered with her boyfriend. "and Mandy and Cameron. Got it? Ok good." I looked over at Cameron looking at me. I wasn't happy about it but, something very little inside of me was excided.
*AFTER CLASS*
After class I stayed and walked up to the teachers desk. "OK, hi Mandy, so I wanted to talk to you about our dance team. You are a great dance and I would love if you were apart of it." She said. "Oh my gosh yes I would love to." Cameron came up to me and said "so you made the dance team congrats." He took off his sunglasses. "I guess since we're partners and all I need to help you with dance?" He says. "Well I guess so.." I say shyly. "Great we're going to my house pick you up at 5". DID I JUST GET TRICKED TO GO TO CAMERONS HOUSE?!?!?
