Ch 4- Just friends

  After school Cameron came up to me asking for my number so I could text him my address. "This isn't like a dat--" He cut me off. " No no no..its not..well I mean unless you want it to be then, well its....its whatever…I guess" He replied, blushing. I got home at about 3:30 and texted Cameron my address. Then he texted "ok its a date ;-) " "haha very funny" I replied. I ate something really fast then I went upstairs to get dressed. It was already 4. Jordyn comes in my room saying "omg my bae is so cute...I can't even." "Ok cool can you go out please?" I ask politely. I continue to try and get dressed when my mom walks in talking about eye liner. "So this brand doesn't smear as much ...but this one stays on for like 2 days! How do I decide which one to order?" "I don't know I have to get dressed." My mom finally leaves. At this time its 4:30. I get dressed quickly and rush into my makeup. I would like to look nice because well you know always look nice....plus Cameron is really cute...WHAT...WHAT DID I JUST SAY....NO NO NO NO BOYS MANDY. Finally its 5 and Cameron is her right on time. "Here" he texted. Time to go see this totally uncute jerk.

"So, ummm hi" Cameron says in the car.

"Hey" I say.

"Do you  like to listen to the radio?"

"Sure"

  He turns the radio on and it plays "The Heart Wants What It Wants". We sat quietly listening to the song when finally Cameron says, "let's play truth or dare, right now." "Ok" I say. I was the best and I would always tell the truth and do the dare no matter what it was. "You first" I say.

"Ok, truth or dare Mandy".

"Truth"

"Ok is this a date to you?"

"... Ya"

"Your turn"

"Truth or dare"

"Truth"

"Do you like me?"

"Umm... Yaa"

"Ok then"

  We finally get to Cameron's house. "My parents aren't here right now" he says. We go upstairs into his room. He sits on his bed. "Truth or dare" he says.

"Dare"

"I dare you to...kiss me"

"Cameron....I-"

"Well I guess you aren't the best at truth or dare anymore"

"Fine..."

  I walked over and gave him a small peck on the cheek.

"What was that?" He asked

"A kiss"

"I mean a real one on the lips"

  I walk over one more time sit on his lap, put my arm around his neck, lean in and kiss him. This time a real one on the lips. I pull away a few seconds after, but he grabs me and lurs me back in. I pull away again.

"Truth or dare" I say.

" Truth"

"Are you going to pick truth the entire time?"

"Fine, dare"

"Ok, I dare you to..."

  Cameron comes over and hands me a giant Hershey's kiss.

"Thanks" I say.

"There's a note on the bottom."

  I read it aloud. It said, "dear Mandy, I know we just met but I feel like I've known you my entire life. I would be the happiest man alive to have you. Will you go out with me? P.s. if you say yes you will be the first :-) "

"Yes" I said.

 

  I jumped up and hugged him.

*A MONTH LATER*
 
  Cameron was coming  over for a date tonight. We was going to be here at 6. It was currently 5:45 and I was dressed in a short black dress. I was doing my makeup. It was valentines day and I wanted it to be special. Soon it was 6 and Cameron was on time as always. He rang the doorbell and I was surprised to see him in a tux, with a giant teddy bear, and a box of chocolates in his hands. I let him inside.

"Cameron" I gasped

"Happy valentines day, babe!" He kissed me on the cheek and walked inside. He set down the chocolate and the teddy bear. "Oh and an early birthday present" he said (My birthday was tomorrow). He pulled something from behind his back. It was a black velvet box. I gasped. It was a ring. "Its not a wedding ring, a promise ring" he said. I hiugged him and gave him a kiss that may have lasted about 2 minutes.
