At the police department, Chloe was looking at her computer when she noticed something.
Chloe: Hey, Luka. Come take a look at this.
She called for him. He was organizing some files when he heard her and left what was in his hands then walked to see what's going on.
Luka: What is it honeybee?
He called her with that nickname as he knew it pissed her. He liked seeing her angry because she looked cute. She shouted at him.
Chloe: STOP CALLING ME HONEYBEE!!!
He giggled as she said but then took a deep breath and continued.
Chloe: I just found these films of the traffic cameras that were in that street that day and look at this. While it was happening, something red broke into the explosion, and suddenly, Adrien is gone.
He looked at the video confused as he thought out loud.
Luka: Something in red... Or... Someone in red!!! Could it be Kagami? She saved him. ADRIEN IS ALIVE, CHLOE. Thank God.
Back to that alleyway as she heard him say, she couldn't process that voice or the eyes she met. She was lost and all she could do at that moment was cry and sit back down then cry again to her hands. It made him feel confused. Didn't she miss him or is she mad at him for disappearing? He couldn't translate those tears in her eyes so he leaned down folding his legs to meet her face then took her face out of her hands holding it with his fingers from her chin. He asked softly.
Adrien: Why are you crying, Princess? Aren't you happy to see me?
Marinette: You're not real.
She said with tears streaming down her face then completed under his looks of confusion.
Marinette: This is just another dream and when I wake up, you'll be gone... And I will look around and realize that I am all alone. Please just... Go.
She said but all she could hear in return was a slight giggle. He asked with a smile on his face.
Adrien: What if I am real?
Marinette: How can you prove it?
She said competitively. She was done of him in her dreams and illusions all the time. She was hurting each time he comes and goes. It was enough. He gently leaned in closer to her face and looked at her sincerely. She sank in his green forests and it all seemed like a dream to her but felt each second of it real. It was an inch between both their face. She can clearly smell his scent. And that's where all her dreams ended but this wasn't a dream. A moment later, she felt his lips touching hers and as much as it felt just like a dream, it felt real. She held on tighter to that feeling. To him. She held his face in her hands and deepened the kiss not wanting to let go. Afraid of it being a dream. She didn't understand a thing at that moment. The only thing she knew was that she didn't want to let go of this feeling. His hands went messing up her hair with his finger pulling her closer. He has been waiting for this for too long. He's been watching over her for years and now, he's here. He's holding her after all this time. It was a matter of time before they needed oxygen and slowly broke the kiss breathing heavily. She looked in his eyes again and he was there. He was real. He said between his lost breathe.
Adrien: Is this enough proof?
He asked but all he got in return was her jumping on him and pulling him in with a big hug full of emotions as digging her face in his neck and crying happy tears. She shouted.
Marinette: ADRIEN!!!
He hugged back before hearing her continue.
Marinette: you're back. You stray silly cat. I missed you so much.
Adrien: Didn't I say that I will find you, Princess.
She finally broke the hug and asked.
Marinette: Adrien where were you? You disappeared and left me all alone. I was broken. I started losing hope. I got depressed... I... I thought you were dead and I would never see you again.
He gently looked at her and said a tone full of guilt.
Adrien: Felix wasn't the only one after the miraculous, Marinette. I had to convince everyone that the miraculous is gone. I had to wait until it all gets calm again. I already prepared everything. Let's run away together, Marinette. Let's go somewhere else. Canada, New York City, London. Anywhere far away from here. Let's finish this story and have our happily ever after.
He said the few last words while holding on to the tears that were obvious on his face.
Adrien: I am so sorry, Marinette. I know that all I ever brought you was trouble and pain. I am sorry for each and every time I made you cry. I am sorry I abandoned you one day. I promise you that I will never make you cry again. I swear that I will be there for you all the time.
He suddenly giggled as he remembered.
Adrien: Do you remember the first day we met? You were watching Romeo and Juliette. I remember when I told you that you can watch it after we are done and... I have got these two tickets to the cinema. Would you go on a date with me, Princess?
She was amazed by all that he said. She sensed the truth in each and every word he said. She has been dreaming about this for a long time and it's finally happening. She hugged him and replied in a low voice near to whispering.
Marinette: How can I say no, my kitty when I got stuck with you?
