walking home pt.1

1st person POV

the bell rang and it was the end of the school day. everyone jumped out of their seats and headed out the door. after i finished coping down the notes i looked up to to the empty chair in front of me.

where's daniel?

i get up off my seat and gathered up my stuff, thinking about where daniel went. i headed out of class and found daniel chatting with ali. i frown a bit and look away.

"hi!" i hear a voice blurt. i turn my head and see daniel walking towards me. "ohh uh hey." i say awkwardly. "so ya still wanna hear what happened?" he beamed with his accent. it's really cute. "yeah, yeahh. what happened?" i ask, walking with daniel.

"wait here. i'm gonna grab my bike." daniel says, and runs to his bike, which was only a few feet from us. he comes back with his bike.

"ya want me to walk ya home?" he asks.

"yeah sure!"

"okay uh.. where do you live?" he questions.

it's really embarrassing living in a not so rich area. i took a breath. "like in.. reseda." i mumbled. "i live right in front of the south seas apartment complex." "wait REALLY?" daniel grinned. it quickly turned into a neutral smile. "i mean uh really?" he asks. "yeah!" i giggle.

"that's great i live there too! i mean. i live at the apartments. haha." he stammered.

"alright so are you gonna tell me what happened?" i started walking towards the shortcut to south seas. "oh yeah." he chuckles and sighs. "me and johnny got in a little fight after you ran and the principal caught us. that's all" "are you..okay?" i ask worried he got hurt. "it was a little bloody but i'm okay y/n."

we both get to the gate and stop.

"ugh i forgot there was a gate here. we have to climb it." "oh okay." he chuckles. i jump up, struggling a little to climb over.

"you need help y/n?"

"no i got it daniel."

i'm on the top of the gate now and accidentally fall on the grass on my back. "y/n! you okay?" he climbs the gate quickly and bends down. i rub my eyes and start laughing uncontrollably.

"i'm okay daniel!" i blurt from my laughing. daniel starts laughing with me too.

"c'mon let's get you up." daniel says and gets up from the grass he gives me his hands and helps me up. "thanks." i chuckle, wiping off the grass on my clothes.

"you know, daniel..."
