walking home pt.2

"... about the fight. you shouldn't have did anything." i sigh.

"why not?" daniel asks, unlocking the gate. "because now he's gonna come for you now!" i lectured. there's a long pause. daniel looks down at the dirt. "well i'd rather have him coming for me than you." he breathes. he glances at me and smiles. i feel myself get hot.

"y/n?" daniel asks. "uh y-yeah?" i reply still thinking about the way he looked at me. "since we have the review assignment for math today, i was wondering if you wanted to study with me." my heart flutters. he wants to study with me!

"um yeah! i'd love to" i beam. "great, let's go to my house." he smiled.

we're walking up the stairs now, and i could feel my cheeks getting even hotter. "well, here it is." the door number is 20. daniel gets the keys from his pocket and unlocks the door.

the scent of cinnamon and cardboard fills the air. "c'mon lets go to my room" he says. my stomach gets butterflies inside but i force a neutral face and follow.

it was a small room, with opened boxes on the floor and hanged up posters. the walls were pale and the was a small bed in the corner.

daniel threw his navy blue backpack on the floor and unbuttons his mustard yellow shirt, revealing a blue baseball tee under. he throws it in a dirty laundry bin and sits down on the bed. "you can sit down if you want." i feel myself even getting hotter. "um i have to go to the bathroom really quick where is it?" i ask awkwardly.

"it's in the other room — you okay ?
"uh, yeah" i stammer.

before he could say anything, i quickly walk to the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror. oh my gosh i'm so red. i panic and splash water from the sink on my face.

i rub a towel on my face really hard but my cheeks are still really red. "y/n?" daniel says from behind the door, knocking. ugh i look so bad right now.

(a/n:  if your cheeks don't get red i'm sorry :(  i personally don't read y/n as me when i read other y/n stories i think of it as a character named yurrname LMAO also sorry for taking forever to update i'll try to update more often to finish it because i'm currently writing another new story which you can read when i'm done with this one and omg this is so long if you're reading this ily)
