When we finally pulled into Jess's driveway, after hours of errands. I had calmed down a bit. I grabbed as many bags as I could from my trunk and walked towards the door, Alex followed. I rang the bell and Jess came barreling down the stairs, I rolled my eyes.
"Hey! Yes, ok so can you guys just take that shit to the guest house. I am going to start making signs so people know where they are going. I am glad the driveway goes down to the guest house." She said, slightly out of breath. I saw Josh sitting on the couch and a wash of relief came over me. I'm glad to see they worked on their issues from last night. I sighed, heading to the back door. Alex opened the door, letting the cool air back in. We walked down the driveway towards the guest house. We walked up the stairs of the guest house and I opened the door. The heat rushed my face as I walked towards the kitchen, placing the bags on the island.
"Jesus, this place is huge too." I said, slightly out of breath. I had never been down here before, we always had our slumber parties in Jess's room.
"Yeah, it is. Her parents were smart to make this, because you only have to see the guests when they come up to the main house for dinner." He chuckled to himself. I started taking out the bags of chips out of bags and placing them on the counter. Alex put all the dips in the refrigerator. I glanced around and it was set up like the main house, a living room with a huge flat screen tv mounted on the wall. There was plenty of space for guests to lounge and even a dining room with a huge rustic table and set of chairs to match. Alex finished putting away the cold groceries, as I grabbed bowls to put the chips in. I looked up smiling at Alex, he smirked putting the soda in the fridge.
"So, are you really ok with this party babe?" He asked, closing the refrigerator door.
"Not really, I think this is probably the worst idea Jess has ever had. Everyone is going to trash this guest house." I said huffing, as I finished pulling the bags of chips from the grocery bags.
"I think you're overthinking this, how many people do you think are really going to show up?" He asked, pulling at my waist, turning me towards him. I looked up at him, his eyes calming me instantly. I grinned, pulling myself into his chest.
"I mean she invited the football teams, it is always word of mouth." I mumbled into his chest. He pulled me back, smiling.
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean people are going to show up. I know Smith and everyone is coming though, he texted me while we were at the store." I rolled my eyes, tucking my curls behind my ears. It was eight and I was dreading this, because I didn't think the girls could take another fight. I know I couldn't. I really just wanted this night to move as fast as possible. Everyone get drunk, have a good time and leave the next morning. I knew I'd end up drinking, I needed to relax a little. I was dreading this because I didn't want Kristen to show up. The last month had been nice, not having to deal with her craziness. Ever since Emma beat her ass, she was MIA. It was a godsend, Alex and I only grew closer and well the sex. I blushed, coming back from my trance. Alex stuffing bags in the garbage next to the island. I smiled, throwing the chip bags all in a grocery bag.
"Earth to Aubrey?" He said, waving his hands in front of my face.
"Sorry, I was just thinking." I said, handing him the bags of garbage. He smirked, shoving it in the trash.
"What were you thinking about?" He asked, sitting on a stool.
"Kristen." I said shortly. He frowned, pushing his hair back.
"Yeah, what about her?" He asked, looking at me intently.
"Do you know if she is coming?" I asked, not sure if I wanted to know the answer.
