The ride to school was quiet and quick. I parked the car and Steve got out; thanking me again before he jogged towards the school. I opened the backseat door, grabbing my bag and books. I walked towards the school slowly, hoping this day would go by fast; without issues. I opened the doors and saw Jess and Emma sitting at a table in the commons area.

"Aubrey!" They said in unison. I smiled, heading towards their table.

"Good morning girls!" I said excitedly.

"Good morning, how was being grounded?" Jess asked. I grumbled, reliving my boring weekend in my head.

"Honestly, fucking terrible. My mom was on my case all weekend. She kept telling me 'If you get in anymore trouble, you'll have trouble', like I get it. She is crazier lately, driving me fucking nuts about colleges and what I am doing after highschool." I groaned, sitting down.

"Do you know what you want to do?" Emma asked, taking a sip from her coffee. I sighed, everyone wanted to know something I didn't even know.

"No, actually I am still having trouble finding out what I want to do. I just know I want to go to college far away from here. How about you guys? Do you know what you want to do and what college?" I asked, grabbing Emma's coffee and taking a sip.

"I actually planned on going to Yale for a degree in business." Jess said quickly.

"Seriously?" Emma and I said in unison. She nodded, sipping her coffee. I knew her grades were well over the expectations of Yale. She scored a 1480 on her practice SAT.

"Yeah, my dad owns his own business. I figured he'd hand it down to me, so why not be prepared for it." I nodded, at least she knew what she wanted.

"What about you Emma?" I asked again.

"Honestly, I either want to be a teacher or travel the world. So, I guess I am going to be a teacher." She laughed, picking at her nails.

"Do you know what school you want to go to?" Jess asked, glancing at me.

"Well since you bitches are leaving me after next year, maybe try and get into something on the east coast. I don't want to be too far from you guys." Emma said pouting.

"You can't base your decisions on us." Jess said quickly. "Where did you really want to go?"

"UCLA." she said without hesitation.

"Then do it!" I said excitedly. "Don't let us interfere with your life!" She frowned, sipping her coffee again.

"I just don't want to lose our friendship. We all have been friends since grade school." She whined, playing with her black curls.

"We won't Emma, there will be breaks and summer! Our friendship is only going to grow stronger. Don't let that be a fear to not go towards your dreams!" Jess said, smiling at Emma. I nodded in agreement, stealing Emma's coffee again. She growled playfully, grabbing her cup after I took a sip.

"Girl, go get your own!" She laughed, rolling her eyes.

"Will you go get me one and I'll buy you another?" She nodded, I handed her some money.

"Extra french vanilla creamer right?" She said, getting up; pushing her chair in. I nodded, telling her thank you.

"So, you still don't know what you want to do?" Jess asked, looking at me with her blue eyes.

"I have a few ideas, but I am not sure really. I know where I am applying though, I have an idea with the schools." I said, looking around for Alex.

"Well that's a start we have until the summer to decide. You have time Aubrey, for real." She said, grabbing my hand. She was always really good at being a motivator. "Who are you looking for?" She smirked, sipping her coffee.
