Chapter 21

Jane's POV:

It's been 5 days since that special night. Never thought I would do this and never in my life with Shawn. But look at me now. Although Lexi suspected at my glow but we acted as if nothing happened. But as it is said, lie can't be hidden longer.

Lexi: Can't believe we can't call you virgin Mary anymore.

Lucius: Shawn, even tho Jane is like my sister, still I am jealous of you that you became the person to steal away her V-Card.

Me: Guys, just leave me alone.

Shawn: Yeah leave us alone in our room.

Me: Shawn, we had sex doesn't mean we will have it all time. Control your horse.

Shawn: Woah right. You are Jane. 

Lexi: Well this year we got to celebrate Christmas with our friends and now we are getting to celebrate New Year too. 

Lucius: So what's your plan to celebrate 10 days vacations, Jane?

Me: Umm maybe I will go to my family. It's been long since I met them.

Lucius: Yes sure. We are also planning to do the same. Although they live here in Canada.

Lexi: Hey let's start preparation for tonight.

Me: Ok let's go.

Shawn: Hey, at what time party starting?

Lexi: The new year party starts at 7 this evening.

Shawn: Ok.

We went back to our rooms and searching a dress for us.

Lexi and I got ready as we always do. We heard knock opening to see Shawn and Lucius. It's the 3rd time I saw Bruno standing outside my door since we became roommates.

Shawn: Hey ready?

Me: Yes we are ready.

Shawn: Good let's go

We went to the overly decorated hall. A big banner could be seen with big HAPPY NEW YEAR 2004 words.

Me: Wow

Shawn: Come let's dance.

Me: Remember homecoming dance.

Shawn: When your dress was ruined.

Me: And you left me to dance with Claudia.

Shawn: And you were dancing with Adrian.

Me: And you kissed Claudia.

Shawn: Cause I hated you but now I love you. 

Me: I love you too

Me: What happened?

I traced his vision behind me. There she stood with Adrian.

Claudia: Ahh look someone took away oops no stole my place.

Me: No one stole it Claudia, you actually never deserved this place.

Claudia: You whore

Shawn: Fuck off Claudia

Claudia: Come Adrian.

Me: Bruno leave them. 

We went to a side and sat on a chair.

Shawn: This year brought so many changes in our life. I felt the roommate vibe just because of you. The prankster felt how victim feels. How it feels to be in love. And especially to be in love with you.

I looked in his eyes which were once filled with hate. Now with love but right now with mischief.

Me: What's in your mind Shawn?

He said nothing just held my hand and walked up to the stage.

Me: Shawn what are we doing here?

Shawn: To tell everyone that you are mine.

He brought me closer to him and soon his lips were over mine. All I could hear were everyone hooting and cheering.

Everyone: Ohhhhhhhh

We smiled at everyone.

Shawn: I love you

Me: I love you too.

We all yelled Happy New Year as we saw fireworks covering the dark sky.

After vacations we returned back to our school. it's been two days and everything going great. I am reading a novel after I completed my assignment. I was going to turn the page, I got a text from Shawn.

Hey Jane, I am going out. Might be late.

Ok, come back soon. xx

I kept the phone thinking why will he be late? My thoughts were interrupted by a knock. Maybe it's Lexi or Lucius. I got up to open door.

Me: Hello.
