Elf?

"Amy?" I drag out her name. I can't believe she's actually here. This can't be real I think right after.

She tries to run up to me but Sandor jumps in her path "You look shocked, even though the other day I said I would bring something to you?" She says as she tries to get around Sandor but Grady joins Sandor

"Why did you keep Keefe away and put cameras in the cave?"

She looks up at me, she's still shorter then me but only by a little bit "for his own safety, has he moved in with his father?" Her hair is a little bit longer and she's wearing black leggings and a dark blue tight tank top and a bow and arrow strapped to her back. Her face and eyes are the same as before I had to leave them but she's grown older.

Then I remember "how do you remember me?"

She shook her head and says "it never worked on me" She shrugs "you didn't answer my question"

"Yes he did move in with his father, why?"

"He will be safe there, and I want my house back"

I look at her "that's your house?"

She nods "you didn't think Keefe would be staying in some random place, did you?"

I shake my head and ask "where have you been staying?"

"Our Human family's house" she looks at Grady and Sandor "can you move , I'm not going to hurt Sophie, I'm her sister for goodness sakes" she rolls her eyes

I look at my father and bodyguard and ask them to move "I'll be in Silveny's pastures" Grady pats me on the back and heads off to the pastures beside us, far enough away that the won't cause a problem but close enough that he can hear and see us.

"So your an elf then?" She nods "what Ability?" I emphasise the word "ability"

She laughs loudly "I think you know" she disappears, leaving me there. I forget what I was going to ask Grady and rush to find Mr Forkle/Magnate Leto at Foxfire.

I finally find him after looking all through Foxfire and then asking Dex's mom where she says that I can find him at his office, Watchward Heath. I teleport there and bang on the door until he lets me in.

"Come in" He jumps up from the table when I burst in "Sophie what a surprise, why are you here?" He tries to hide the papers he's working on.

I go and stand in front of the desk my arms crossed over my chest. "Is Amy another experiment?"

He stares at me "wh-where uh, did you get that idea?" He stammers

"Was she a backup if I didn't work?" I stare him down

He looks down at the papers on his desk "Sophie, I d-"

I hit the desk "no, is Amy a experiment or not!"

"She is a experiment yes, but y-"

I look him in the eye "don't try to explain" I grind my teeth.

He shuffles to the door "I've got a meeting, why don't you come to my office with Mr Sencen, Mr Vacker, Mr Dizznee and Ms Vacker tomorrow at lunch to sort this out" Not a question, an order. I nod and light leap back to Havenfield where Sandor is pacing and Dex is trying to track me down with a weird device thing, it kind of looks like a human phone and has the words Sophie written on the back. The rest of my friends are playing with Silveny and Grayfell.

"Where did you go!" Grady runs to me and envelopes me in a hug

I see Sandor storming towards me "just to see Mr Forkle" I start storming off to my room but Keefe grabs my wrist.

"You Okay Foster?" I yank my wrist from his grasp, nod and go up to my room he was just trying to be kind

I almost listen to the voice in my head, but instead i ignore it. I turn around but I decide against it and flop down onto my bed. I must of fallen asleep because next thing I know Edaline is telling me to wake up and get ready for school.

I go through the day only thinking about Amy, Mumbling short answers, and walking from class to class. When lunch finally comes around I rush to Magnate Leto's office and I don't notice Keefe following me until I stop at the door and he stops behind me

"What are you doing Foster?" He asks me and puts a arm around me shoulders

I look at up at him "Yesterday I went to Forkle's office because I needed to ask him about Amy and he said to come back today with everyone at lunch to talk about it."

He looks at me "then why didn't you bring everybody?"

"I kinda wanted to do this alone" I look back to the door, but I can still feel his eyes on me

"I'll go then" he takes his hand away and starts going down the hall

I reach after him and grab his hand "you don't need to go" I say softly. His voice sounded so hurt and the way his shoulders hunched, i couldn't let him leave.

He turns around and smirks "can't do this without me, eh Foster?"

"I-I need someone to help me challenge Mr Forkle" I try to cover what i just said.

He shakes his head knowingly and half smiles "hmm, keep telling yourself that Foster, but you know it's not true" He winks as the door opens and Magnate Leto calls us in

"Did I not tell you too bring all of your friends?" He says only glancing up from the papers on his desk "I see only Mr Sencen came, have you at least told him what's this about?"

I nod "this is between you and me" I say and glance at Keefe

"Then why did you bring him along?" He says

Keefe jumps up from the chair "I'm here you know"

I ignore him and turn back to Mr Forkle "Was Amy a backup if I didn't work?"

"Will you listen to me this time?" He waits until I nod "Amy is the opposite of you, has the abilities you don't. She is a beguiler, like Councillor Alina, a conjurer, a Vanisher and a Guster. Maybe more. We were so proud of how it worked out for you that we made Amy."

Keefe asks the question for me and says "any other abilities because Foster has 5 and Amy only has 4"

"She may have more, this is just what we know" he says. Keefe and Mr Forkle argue for a couple more minutes but I zone out.

My emotions must of been running high because calm, soothing waves of blue colour comes through my mind. I feel strong arms grip my shoulders, I behind me and am met with beautiful ice blue eyes and a mop of blonde hair.

"You Okay Foster?" Keefe says and leads my over to a chair, He places me onto his lap. I lean back onto Keefe's chest. It's warm and muscular, But soft at the same time, so comfortable that I could stay there forever. I close my eyes for a few seconds to clear my mind and then open my eyes to a sly smile sitting at a desk.

Mr Forkle smirks "are you sure your only friends?" He chuckles. I can feel my face heat up, its probably redder then a tomato. I can feel Keefe's face go red as well. The bell rings and we say a quick goodbye to Mr Forkle. Outside Keefe and I part ways, him going to empathy training and me going to alchemy, my worst class in the whole of Foxfire.

I do horrible in alchemy, Lady Galvin shouting at me the whole time to focus on the task. But I can't help thinking about what Forkle said are Keefe and I really just friends? The thought crosses my mind and too quickly I shut it down we are just friends

What's your favourite ship in any books? (doesn't have to be KOTLC) mine would probably be Maxmerica from the selection because they're just so cute together or Nessian from ACOTAR! (if you haven't read any of those books i really recommend it)
