Despite walking at a normal pace, everything felt like it had suddenly turned to slow motion. Sero could feel the slow pattern of inhales and exhales of his breath. He could sense his friend's heads turning to him. Words telling him to stop now before he got too far filled his head but he dismissed the thoughts and continued to walk. Step after step, until he was finally at the table.

"Hey can I uh- sit here?" He asked awkwardly increasing the grip on his lunch bag.

Mina's eyes turned to him and widened. She stayed silent with a stone cold expression she tried to not break. Finally, she loosed up her face and took a soft exhale.

"Yeah sure I guess." She softly spoke in a much different tone then her usual cheerful or sarcastic  one.

Sero smiled as his face lifted. He placed his lunch bag down at an empty spot across from Mina  while various conversations filled around him. For a few minutes he simply sat there, eating his lunch and studying the other people at the table. He had seen most of them with Mina at some point unsurprisingly, but one thing was missing. An empty spot laid there next to Mina, with her coat draped over it like she had been saving it for someone. Who could she be holding it for? The thought ran through Sero's head just before a blonde headed boy approached the spot. His eyes were a bright crimson color slightly similar to Kirishima's hair. His face has an expression of anger but it didn't appear he was actually angry for the time being. Mina grabbed her coat from off the seat and wrapped it around her waist while the boy put his lunch tray down and sat in the seat.

The boy clearly wasn't similar to the other boys at the table, Mina and him just simply talked unlike the other boys who chatted amongst each other occasionally attempting to get Amina's attention. After a while of just sitting there with no words leaving Sero's mouth, Mina finally spoke.

"So, what's your name?" She asked him calmly.

Sero perked up and moved his eye focus to Mina.

"Oh my name! My name's Sero- Hanta Sero!" He responded with an awkward smirk on his face.

Mina nodded giving the soft smile she always gave whenever she was remotely happy.

"You probably already know my name I'd guess, but this is Bakugou." She told Sero pointing to the blonde sat next to her.

Then it clicked into Sero's brain. Bakugou was the only one Mina seemed to actively talk to, and even go without trying to flirt with him through their conversations. Mina and Bakugou must actually be friends then. He confirmed to himself. Sero took one deep breath before speaking again.

"Hey Mina... Do you have any friends.. Besides Bakugou?" He asked her trying to be as polite as possible.

With that moment, Mina froze and was struck with silence.
