Six months had passed by now. Snow beginning to flurry to the ground, and Christmas decorations were even starting to be hung. It was strange how in a matter of a day or two someone could completely change.. for better or for worse.. Hanta Sero was probably the person who understood such a rarity the most. He had watched as a girl changed within the day they had met. To this day, it was one of the strangest things to him. He squeezed the girl's hand as it was interlaced with his, sharing a large puffed winter coat. But, one thing was different. This was not the girl he had changed. The pink fluffy headed girl still remained in his heart, he refused to acknowledge her anymore. As it had certainly been six months after they met, it was only three after they parted.
While Sero had been enjoying his Winter date with his new girlfriend, Mina simply sat in her room on her phone. Three months, to some feels like forever but to others is just as quick as a few weeks. After the parting, rumors circled about Mina again, only Bakugou and now Kirishima stayed at her side. Everyone thought it was the worst of her heartbreaks, but the truth was no one had an exact story. Except for Mina. Kirishima and Bakugou also had parts of the story, but some was kept on the down-low as it would only make them worry for Mina's safety. Whenever someone is hurt, they only really care of how terrible the harmer was, but has anyone ever considered the manipulator being the manipulated?
People use time to forget about things, then why do rumors stay no matter how long? The cold fog of breaths surrounded Mina wherever she went. Everyone thought they knew. Mina became outcasted, to her classmates, she was just the heartbreaker who never changed. It was currently lunchtime for them. They sat at the same old wooden picnic tables as always. Some snow was laced between the wooden boards, but they didn't mind as it didn't make a bother anyway. Mina slightly leaned forward and flicked the small paper wrapper from her straw at Kirishima's head.
"Hey what was that for?!" He questioned, getting his focus on reality back.
"Stop daydreaming about boom boom boy here during lunch!" She replied ticking her head over to Bakugou's direction.
Kirishima turned a color of red as Mina laughed at her own remark, while Bakugou, confused as he was took out a single earbud that had been resting in his ear playing music. Mina kept laughing with Kirishima burying his red face into his arms until Mina felt a sudden pain hit the back of her head.
"OW!" She yelled out placing her hand on the back of her head.
Kirishima almost immediately broke out of his flustered state, "Mina are you ok?!" he asked with concern in his voice.
Mina's vision was slightly blurred from the hit, so she couldn't focus on Kirishima's concern. She turned where on the ground directly under her, laid a full red apple. There was a small group of boys sitting behind them, and when Mina had turned one stuck out their tongue in response.
"Are you ok Mina?" Kirishima once again asked but this time, with a more calm tone and a hand on her shoulder.
Before Mina could answer, the same boy who stuck out his tongue interrupted. "So that's the boy you're going after now huh? How long are you planning on? Another Sero relationship or what?" He teased.
Tears began to fill into Mina's eyes upon the mention of her past relationship.
"Do you wanna move to another table?" Kirishima suggested.
"No it's fine, I'm going to go get some water." Mina replied, standing up and wiping the tears in her eyes.
She walked off not saying a word, she headed straight for the girl's bathroom. She took the extra time to go to the one on the third floor as no one would be there. A few tears escaped the corners of her eyes as she gripped the sink, occasionally glancing up to the mirror.
"Why... why.." Those words softly fell off her lips in whispers.
Mina had finally gained a life, living how she wanted to.. but it all fell down..
She took a deep breath and gathered herself, wiping the remaining tears off of her face. Still slightly shaking she slowly swung the door open, to the one person she wanted to see the least right now.
The very person which she had parted with three months ago, Hanta Sero.
