Shido heard the loud sound of a gun shot somewhere deep in the alley. He had been wandering about in the area after having talked to Yoshino and Yoshinon, he couldn't successfully seal her due to AST interference.

"Hello, is someone there?" Shido asked with caution.

Silence answered him back, but that was cut short with the sound of footsteps approaching. They were slow steps of someone with a very light weight, maybe around 54 kg.

"Um, could you step out into the light please?" Shido requested.

"Sure." A voice answered.

The person stepped into the light of a nearby lamp to reveal no one other than (Y/N).

"(Y/N) is that you?" Shido asked.

"Do I know you?" (Y/N) asked.

"Yeah, I am Shido Itsuka, we met in April." Shido reminded (Y/N).

"No, and isn't it today April of 2011?" Y/N asked.

"Um no, it's May." Shido replied.

"What, that's nonsense." (Y/N) said.

Something's off, this guy is way more expressive than the usual (Y/N) and there is some traces of blood on his head so maybe something happened. Shido thought.

"Hey, how about we go to a hospital to get that wound on your head checked out." Shido suggested.

"Oh, you're talking about this, I am sure it's nothing." (Y/N) laughed off.

"Yeah but look where you have been I am sure that you won't want some infections." Shido persuaded.

"Hmm, you are right, let's go." (Y/N) agreed.

"Ok follow me, I know a great place." Shido said.

Pretending to scratch his ear, Shido clicked on the earpiece and thanked Kotori and her crew.

At the hospital

(Y/N) was rigged up to a IV and sat up in a bed and hospital gown.

"Um is this necessary?" Y/N sheepishly asked. "Hope this doesn't take long Mom did say she is making (F/F) tonight."

"Don't worry, it will be a quick check, just relax." The doctor said.

"Ok *yawn* sure." (Y/N) said before the sleeping drugs kicked in.

He laid there fast asleep when Reine arrived, took a scan to analyze the signals in the brain.

"It's just what I feared." Reine said.

"What?" Kotori asked.

"He lost memories from today to a few months ago, the memories he has now was before (Y/N)'s sister got leukemia." Reine explained.

"Well can we do anything?" Shido asked.

"Well fortunately, I got the answer." Reine said.

She took out a small syringe from a refrigerated container and showed it.

"This is a sample of blood from (Y/N) that contains a modified virus which has recorded his memories, the virus will also help in boosting his healing factor by infecting all of the cells and cooperate with the cells and help with energy storage." Reine said. "But there is a problem."

"And?"

"What if we don't let him remember those memories again, it would be rocky at first but it could prove for a better relationship with Tohka." Reine explained.

"But, won't he ask about his parents, he will ask about his injuries and if he has kept journal, he will have complicated questions and we would have to lie or tell him something he wouldn't understand." Shido said.

"I know, but let's ask ourselves which is the better outcome."
