My Sunshine

All is Well Again?

Rain suddenly poured down from the sky, soaking everything within seconds.

"Nu, what is with this water, why is it falling from the sky, is someone pouring down on us?" Tohka asked.

"No, this is rain, you know that smoke that comes from the water when you boil it?" (Y/N) asked.

"Uh huh."

"That is water."

"What, no way." Tohka said amazed. "But what does it have to do with this rain?" Tohka asked.

"Well, the reason why water turns into 'smoke' is because it is very hot for the water." (Y/N)  explained.

"Then when it is colder, the water smoke turns into water, I get it so is the rain just water smoke turning back into water!" Tohka said.

There is a little bit more to that but that's the basic idea so to say. (Y/N) thought

"Correct, you learn very quickly now that I notice." (Y/N) said.

"Thanks, you are a great help you know, along with school, especially with some help from other people." Tohka said, standing proudly.

"Well that's good to know, that means I don't have to worry too much about you in school, you can really handle yourself." (Y/N) said.

"Right? I can live here with you after all, and I am not a threat to you like that Tobiichi girl said." Tohka said.

They both stopped talking, the scene quiet other than the drops of rain and the chatter of people.

"I am sorry for saying those things to you, I really shouldn't have done that or said that you know." (Y/N) apologized.

"No, you aren't at fault, I didn't know that you were still recovering from such events, I am sorry that such things happened to you." Tohka apologized.

"You don't have to apologize, hearing people say sorry when they didn't do anything that would make them say sorry, makes me a bit mad, although I say sorry myself so that makes me a hypocrite in a way, anyway, don't say sorry, you didn't do anything wrong." (Y/N) said.

"Alright, then what do I say then?..." Tohka asked.

"Don't say anything about that, nor will I say anything about it since I have something to be sorry for, I will apologize, for now let's enjoy today, ok?" (Y/N) said as he smiled.

"Right, let's go!" Tohka said as she grabbed (Y/N)'s hand and ran off in the rain, ducking for cover.

'Good calls (Y/N), her trust and affection status towards you, are extremely high right now, if you are going to seal her, it will be a 100% success.' Kotori said through the earpiece.

"Understo-" (Y/N) said.

The both suddenly bumped on to 2 people, knocking them backwards.

"Oh I am so sorry are you ok?" (Y/N) asked.

"I am fine are you al-" Shido began before he looked at (Y/N). "Eh, (Y/N)?!"

"Oh, hey Shido, sorry about bumping into you." Tohka apologized before she took note of the other person. "Hello, I am sorry for not looking where I was looking, are you alright?"

The little girl didn't respond, instead she backed up against the wall, wanting to get away.

Interesting, that's a fear response, maybe the sudden bump scared her. (Y/N) thought.

"Oh, it's ok Yoshino, they don't want to hurt you." Shido said.

Yoshino, remained against the wall for a few long seconds, almost a long minute before she joined Shido's side.

"I am sorry if I scared you, it wasn't my intention." Tohka apologized.

"I-it's...fine." Yoshino quietly said.

"Mind if we introduce ourselves?" (Y/N) asked.

"S-sure..." Yoshino responded.

"My name is (Y/N) (L/N), the girl here is Tohka Yatogami." (Y/N) introduced.

"Nice to meet you!" Tohka exclaimed excitedly.

This may make her calm down a bit if she knows a bit more of the strange people, being us, the human mind doesn't like knowing things so a fear response is natural when seeing things that are unknown or meeting strangers. (Y/N) thought.

"N-nice to meet you." Yoshino said.

"Well we are about to go over to my house to go eat something warm, wanna join us?" Shido asked.

"If we aren't intruding we would love to." (Y/N) said.

"Then let's go, my house is pretty close." Shido said.

The all both then walked over to Shido's house, the rain beating down on them.

"Here, take this." (Y/N) said as he took off his jacket and covered Tohka with it.

"Oh, thank you but what about you?" Tohka asked.

"I'll be fine." (Y/N) said.

Tohka frowned before then grabbing (Y/N) and putting him under the jacket with her.

"You know how you said that you hate it when people say sorry? I hate it when you say 'I am fine' because I know that is a lie, and if you lie I won't know what you are going through, you could be fighting many battles with your self but I wouldn't know because you said you are fine, that is my reason for hating that phrase, just as your reason for hating people say 'I am sorry', now join me under this jacket." Tohka said.

"Tohka...." (Y/N) said.

He processed what he had heard from Tohka, taking it in.

Your kindness is unreal, reminds me of my sister, it makes me forget of the terrible things I have done, I wondered if what happened at the hospital maybe something that actually happened since it seemed very unusual to me, you kindness to me is very real, although I don't deserve someone like you in my mind, you deserve whoever you want, and that person you want happens to be me, I can't change that now, there is no going back, you have already set sights on your prey, and that is me, thank you Ratatoskr for letting me be with Tohka and allowing an opportunity for forgiveness, thank you Tohka for helping me see the lighter sides of my life, although my guilt may never go away, I can now live with it for now. (Y/N) thought.

(Y/N) pulled Tohka closer for a hug.

"Huh, what are you doing all the sudden?" Tohka asked.

"I am just hugging you, it will help the both us too keep warm." (Y/N) explained.
