You cried yourself to sleep that night. Waking up, you've felt nothing but immense numbness in your eyes. It was clear that you loved Oikawa so much that it hurts you bad to lose him.

Things also took a toll on you. College seemed harder than it was before. You almost spent the whole semester staying up at night to cry yourself numb. Lectures sounded like lullabies and helped you doze off immediately because you were awake all night to sob over your loss. What a loser, I know.

For the first three weeks, Oikawa sent you 'I'm sorry' messages on every time of the day.

Oikawa 07:36
Good morning (Y/N). I'm sorry :(

Oikawa 13:25
Hey (Y/N). I'm so sorry, can we please talk about it? :(

Oikawa 20:46

Oikawa 23:35
Good night :(

*You have 125 unread messages from Oikawa*

Iwaizumi tried contacting you as well. After a few attempts he read the room as you never replied to any of his messages. You were too scared and disappointed to contact any either of them. You wishes things didn't happen the way it did.

He hurt me, so why is he being so nice to me right now?

"Ms. (Y/N), are you alright?"

Mr. Tetsu helped you kick your sense back. Everyone in the room noticed that you were dozing off. You couldn't do anything but skimmed the room to find two tall figures. Your heart skipped a beat. There you are. Oikawa and Iwaizumi both looked worried for you.

"Yes, I'm fine, don't worry," you replied Mr. Tetsu as you put your palm on your forehead.

"But you're a bit pale, if I may say," he continued.

"I'm fine! Please, let's uh- start the meeting," you disagreed.

You bowed and everybody in the room bowed back at you. You were sitting in the lead seat in front of everyone.

There were nine members in your team, and with you as the extra, made your team a whole 10. You lead the meeting swiftly and eloquently. The thought of the past kept bothering you but you refuse let a mistake happen. This is the true arts of professionalism!

"Are there any questions? If there are none, we will proceed to task organizing," you instructed.

Nobody in the room seemed confused or unnotified. You confiscated everybody's attention and it looks like your explanation was clear enough to make everybody informed.

"Alright then, let's start task organizing, shall we?"

You divided the team into four small groups with a majority consisting of four in each. Each team has a task to manage in order to complete the project. Mr. Tetsu was always within the same two-person team alongside you. You purposely separated Iwaizumi and Oikawa from each other. You were aware how great they were as a team, even outside of volleyball. You wanted to see their personal development.

"If that's alright with all of you we'll start the project immediately."

A team member raised their hand.

"Yes, Ms. Mina?"

"I have ran through his CV and it seems like Mr. Oikawa really well at observation report. I know its what you do at best, Ms. (Y/N), but I recommend for you to add him to your team instead. I'll work with Ms. Aiko!"

All the team members showed response of agreement to her statement, making you pause for a bit. Excuse me? Working with Oikawa?

Oikawa glanced at you with his soft eyes and it endeared your heart. You quickly shook the feeling off as the thoughts went back to kick your common sense. He hurt me, so why is he being so nice to me right now?

Your heart can't help to decline the offer but your brain ensured you to accept it. Yes, he is also excellent in what you do. With the purpose of this project, he'd be a great asset if this project is managed together. Together? You can't believe that word popped into your thoughts.

"Well?"

Oikawa's voice pierced through the silence in the room. Everybody already had their eyes on you, waiting for your response as if you were a ticking bomb. You took a faint sigh and put on a smile to everyone.

"Sure. I look forward to working with you, Mr. Oikawa! Now then- let's start working!"
