Kate's POV
I went home and forgot about breakfast . Only Louis was on my mind . It was around 7:30 p.m. and I just got home with all my college stuff . I opened the door to see my mom . She was furious .
"WHERE THE HECK DID YOU GO !! I'VE BEEN WAITING SINCE MORNING AND YOU JUST GOT BACK ?! " she slapped me and my face reached the floor . She started beating me until I was weak . Blood started going out of my mouth . "Serves you right for coming home late .... oh and since your so disobedient and old enough GET OUT of this house at once . Ken is staying in your room . Ask your friends if you could stay with them for a while .. oh wait you don't have any hah . Your too pathetic and lame to have a friend . NOW GET LOST I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE AGAIN ." I got up weakly and crawled outside . Fyi ken is my moms boyfriend whoIs also abusive but he only hits . me . It's snowing outside so I went to the garage and picked up an old fury carpet and wrapped it around me and took my mittens out . I slept at the sidewalk and let the tears fall down .

The bright sun woke me up and snow started falling . The oonly thing I had in mind was college , where to live and Louis . I decided to call Louis . But I couldn't talk coz I was still crying . I heard tw/o beeps and Louis spoke
"Hello ? "
"Louis " I managed to let out between my sobs
"Shhhh " he said to the people in the background "Kate are you okay'"
"Kate where are you ? ?.. hello " Louis said . I could here concerned in his voice .
I couldn't help but let a smile out of his concern . "Louis , remember when you said that I looked like my life depended on it , when you gave me the carrots . Yeah it did . I got back home late and my mom kicked me out " I said while sobbing .
"Oh my . urr Kate where are you ? " Louis asked
"At a parks sidewalk . Urr there's Starbucks near it ." I looked around to find any road signs . But my phones battery ran out and the call ended .

Louis' POV
"Kate ? KATE ?" and with that the call ended .
"Ooh it's Kate " harry joked
"LIAM do you know a park with Starbucks near to it ? " I asked ignoring Harry's comment .
"Yeah it's just down the street " I ran outside to the park and saw Kathryn freezing at the side walk . Its snowing but I don't really care . I went to Kathryn and she looked at . She hugged me and said "Louis . Thank you , "
"It's okay love "
Kathryn s POV
Someone tapped my shoulders and I saw the beautiful sea blue eyes staring at me . I jumped and hugged Louis . I don't why but I'm so happy to see him .
"Louis .. thank you " I muffled in his shoulders . He rubbed my back
And said " it's okay love " ... I felt a swarm of butterflies fluttering in my stomach .
He loosened his gripped and I looked up at him . Our face just inches away .
His eyes flickered on my lips and could help my urge of kissing him . He leaned in closer so ous nose were touching . His breath trickled on my lips . Leaned in and the next thing you know we're kissing . It felt so good and fireworks exploded . It was a passionate kiss . His lips we're softer then it looked like . His tongue trailed my lip asking for entrance . I let it in and more fireworks came blasting threw the air . We let go and .... I felt heat rising on my cheeks .
"Wow" he said
"I know " I let out .
"Um Kate do you wanna go to Starbucks and get to know each other more ? " he asked hopefully
"Sure"
We walked to Starbucks and I let the warm heat kiss my skin . The smell of coffee in the air . Louis ordered for me .
"So... wanna play 20 questions ."he asked
"Yeah"
" I'll start , favorite colour ?"
"Light Blue , you ? "
"Red , pets ?"
"Cats , vegetables ? "
"CARROTS, first kiss ?"
" you." I blushed . "Relationship status ? "
"Broke up with my girlfriend months ago coz she was caught cheating on me .. you ? "
"Oh . Sorry bout that , i never was in a relationship "
"Oh , so do you want to give it a try ?" Ohmygod Louis just asked me out .
