The next day - 12:35pm
Kentrell's house
Da'chanelle POV:

"Wake upppp" I heard a voice say while I felt little feet on my legs. "Mmmm" I said turning over feeling the feet atop jumping. "Chanel" I heard Kayden say in my ear as I opened my eyes and smiled.

"Hey Kay!" I said as he smiled and hugged me. "Hi!" He said as I chuckled. "Can I lay down with you?" He asked as I nodded and he got under the covers as I wrapped my arm around him.

I smiled at Kayden as he laid under my arm and closed his eyes.

I can't lie this is nice....

"Kayden if you in here ima-" Kentrell whisper yelled before getting cut off by me turning around.

"He's fine" I said slightly rolling my eyes. "Can we talk?" He asked as I sat up. "Well you know that depends, are you gonna tell me a bunch of lies?" I asked as Kentrell stayed silent and I stood up walking to the bathroom.

Once I got out the bathroom Kayden was out the room and Kentrell was sitting on the bed.

"Look I don't expect you to let me stay here for the rest of my life, shit I'll leave right now if you really want to, just please don't lie to me anymore...I honestly can't take anymore lies Kentrell."

Kentrell sighed before putting his head in his hands. "Chanel you can stay...I ain't mean to make you feel like you wasn't welcome and I'm sorry about the whole Iyanna situation but maybe we can talk about it...like really talk about it and not yell at each other,"

This is the side of NBA that no one really sees, not his friends, not his fans...especially not people that he meets at his concert and now lives with him.

I sighed before sitting down beside Kentrell but with a distance and he continued speaking.

"Iyanna and me dated for about a year and it was great at first I even wanted a baby with her but then she started doing shit that a girlfriend shouldn't do and I wrote the song "Dirty Iyanna" we eventually made up after that but I ain't want her coming around all the damn time"

I haven't even heard of Dirty Iyanna but damn.

"After that I was trying to learn how to trust again but it was pretty hard so I started messing around with a bunch of females....and then you came"

"And you wanted to mess around with me?" I asked looking down.

"Nah you was different...I mean usually girls be tryna fuck and shot as soon as they meet me but you just wanted a picture and could've been satisfied. Most females try to use me because I got money and they figure that since I got money they don't have to work or do shit for themselves but you ain't like that...you don't need me for shit"

You right...I don't

"You ain't ask me to stay here I offered and I ain't gon put you out...if you decided that you wanna get your own apartment then I'm done with that but you're always welcome here because even though we've only known each other for less than a month...I trust you" he spoke before making eye contact with me.

"That was your last time with Iyanna?" I asked as Kentrell nodded and I sighed. "I put it on my momma" he said as I nodded.

"Fine...I forgive you" I said as he smiled and I shook my head. "But no more lies...be straight up with me ah I'll be straight up with you" I said as Kentrell nodded and smiled.

"I promise" he spoke before standing up and I did so too as he pulled me into a hug.

You can tell that this man has been hurt...but as long as we're on the same page, I don't plan on hurting him.
