Time flies so fast. I'm currently taking Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. I pursued my passion.
It is also my father's line of work so it is a practical course for me. I also had insights and guidance from him.
How ironic, Serene and I were on the same department but we don't meet that much. She's an aspiring writer, taking Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing.
I once asked her. "Why do you want to be a writer?" she smiled on hearing my question.
"When you are a writer, you can control everything because it is your world." she answered.
"Besides, I'll be at disadvantage when I take different course because of my color blindness." she added.
I was satisfied with her answer. At least, she loves the path she took. That is what matters the most.
After a tiring day, I wanted to spoil myself with foods but I had different plans, priorities to be exact.
When Atlas finally had his free time, he asked Serene to bond with him. Luckily, her schedule was vacant.
Atlas finally has his own car. He drove to Serene's house. He patiently waited for her. When he saw her, he opened the door for her.
"Thanks Atlas." she said. Atlas just smiled.
It was Sunday so they first went to the church. After the mass, they went to the mall.
"Where do you want to eat?" Atlas asked Serene.
Atlas also likes the restaurant Serene picked so they went inside. They ordered and patiently waited for it.
"So, how are you mister?" she initiated to start a conversation.
Atlas smiled. "I just finished 3 practical exams and I'm still alive so, I guess I'm okay?" he uttered which made Serene burst into laughter.
"Are you really aware of your body status? I guess not." she said. Atlas asked her the same question.
Serene pretended to think which made them laugh. "I still have to proofread some chapters of my story so I don't know if I'll be okay." she happily exclaimed.
It brought relief that nothing changed. They didn't saw each other for weeks but they're still what they were, no signs of awkwardness.
While in the middle of coping up, their order was served. They ate while chatting with each other.
They survived college. For years they were challenged to live with stress. After graduation, Atlas worked in an entertainment company while Serene worked in a publishing house.
After 2 years of gaining experience, Atlas inherited his father's business which bloomed through the years. They celebrated it.
That day, Serene visited Atlas with a book in her hands. She hugged him when they saw each other.
Serene let Atlas see the book she's holding. He was in total shock when he knew that the book she's holding is her book.
Two achievements were celebrated that day, it was the welcoming of Atlas as the new owner of the business and the first published book of Serene.
They took a photo together in front of the shop. Atlas asked one of his staffs to take the picture.
That day, a picture of success was taken. It is a picture of a man with camera and a woman with book.
