Two weeks had passed. Two long weeks of familiarizing, of coping with the new place. He learned to love his father's work. He even considered himself as his assistant.
Atlas compiled the pictures in an album. Duplicates of chosen pictures were put in his wall. He continues to learn more about photography.
With his new found passion, he learned to appreciate his surroundings, from the major details to the slightest ones.
Even scars can be beautiful, he thought. You just need to have the right shot to emphasize the beauty hidden on something.
"When will you buy your school supplies? Your mother told me that your enrollment was approved. She just needs to give your forms from your past school." his father asked.
Atlas stopped on what he is doing ad looked on his father. His eyes twinkled as he say, "Am I going to my new school? When?".
"If your mother can pass your forms immediately then you can go on Wednesday." Atlas' father answered.
"Let's go and buy my things Dad! I can't wait to meet my new classmates!" he excitedly exlaimed.
They went to the mall to buy his things as planned. He was only with his father. Atlas grabbed some notebooks and pens. They wandered around to find more things.
"Are these all you need?" his father asked.
Atlas allowed himself to think about the things needed in school. Surprisingly, he remembered something. He forgot about the colors.
"Uh Dad, I forgot about the colors. Can you wait for me here?" he asked his father who is currently in the cashier.
His father permitted him to go. He then went to the section of colors. Atlas picked what he needed. His eyes laid on the girl beside him looking also for colors.
Familiarity can be seen on Atlas' eyes. The familiar hair and posture. The girl fixed her hair and from there, he had the chance to see her face.
He was so shocked seeing her face. She was the girl in the swing but something was off with her. He can see sadness in her eyes.
Atlas then realized that his father was waiting for him. He gave the color to his father. The scene he witnessed left him dumbfounded. Why would she be sad over a pack of colors?
When they went home, his mother was also home. She delivered the news that he can go to school on Wednesday. Atlas was so happy when he heard about it.
He was delighted when his awaited day came, he woke up earlier than his parents. His father secretly took a picture of him walking towards their car.
An unplanned picture of a boy going to school was taken. A boy who continues his journey. A journey to what?
