I couldn't even process everything that was happening within those ten to twenty seconds. It was a feeling I had never felt. It was like happiness and joy but with something else mixed in, perhaps comfort. Maybe it was just a feeling I didn't know of, considering the fact I had never kissed someone in my whole life.
Slowly, Duke let go of me and gave me back my phone. "Sorry," he whispered, seeming ashamed of himself.
I looked at him confused. Why was he sorry? I had for once felt true happiness thanks to him! But I just said back to him that it was all good.
"Say, you wanna film a thirst trap next?" Duke asked with a smirk.
"What's that?" I asked, wondering why Duke smirked like that. He proceeded to show me a video of some guy showing his abs. I widened my eyes. How did he look so hot in that video?!
"I... I can't do that," I said with a stutter.
Duke slapped his hand on my shoulder and made eye contact with me. "Of course you can!" He exclaimed with that smile. "Here, I found this song you can use along with it! It's called I See Red! It's a bit slow, so you don't have to get too crazy with it!"
I nodded, turned around, and took off my shirt underneath my coat. I couldn't let Duke see me shirtless yet.
"Ok, after the song says the word see, turn around," Duke said. "Then just improvise from there."
Improvising. I was good at that! After replying with a nod, I heard the timer tick and the song start.
