On the last night of summer, it rained. After the long night before, y/n slept most of the day away.
During the time she spent awake, she sat at the old wooden desk, that lay in front of a window in her room. On her first day at headquarters she dedicated her self to dusting off the old hunk of wood so she could listen to music and write. Yet somehow, the whole summer had gone by and she hadn't done a page of homework. Now it was nearly sunset and she flipped between the pages of parchment and scribbled anything she could recall from the textbooks. Fantastic Beasts by Newt Scamander, Defense Against the Dark Art for Beginners, Quidditch Through the Ages, everything sort of blended together.
And with everyone now focused on Harry and his arrival...most of the day had been spent, alone. It wasn't unpleasant though, it gave her time to think about last nights event and let the music flow in and out of her ears.
The sun was now completely set and the soft rain began to pitter patter on the stained glass window.  The rain dripping from the windowsill reminded y/n of the dripping faucet in the bathroom across the hall, and of last night.
Her biggest fear was that Ron had told the rest of their friends about what happened. Y/n was terrible unsure of her feelings and it all happened so quickly. Do understand, there were no regrets, the feeling of Ron's body tangled with hers was something she wished she could relive over and over again. But she feared getting attached, commitment, and what if she ruined this amazing friendship they were starting to form.
She realized that she needed to talk to him, but, she didn't want to put a damper on the last night of summer, just in case things ended badly.
So it was decided, she would wait until they got off the train to Hogwarts and until then, hold her tongue, in both senses of the phrase.

The sound of y/n's quill, mixed with the pitter pattter of rain was absolute tranquility. In fact, it was so peaceful that the sound of her own stomach growling made her nearly jump out of her own skin. Suddenly they noticed the enticing smell of savory turkey and baked potatoes wafting in through under the door. Another one of Mrs.Weasley's masterpieces they supposed.
I could go for a spot of tea, she thought to herself. And just as if he were reading her mind, there was a small knock on the door, and it creaked opened halfway.

"may I come in?" it was either Fred or George.

"yeah sure" said y/n, she turned her body around in her chair to see who it was, and out came George. Holding a tea cup on a small platter he flashed a wholesome smile and walked over to where y/n was seated.

"You, er, you've been cooped up in this room all day I thought I might come and visit you"
he set the hot beverage down on the desk, a small clink coming from the colliding ceramic.

"aw that's so sweet"
y/n felt her heart melt, and usually she would try her best to conceal this but, something about George made her feel okay with letting it show. "Grab a seat" she said smiling "there's a chair right in the corner over there"
He grabbed the wooden chair with one arm, his bicep muscles tensing as he lifted the chair and pushed it up to the desk y/n was sitting at. He rested both elbows on the desk and picked up one of the books from the stack. It was a hard covered textbook, the front and back were a deep shade of red and the word on the front read "Fantastic Beasts"
George used the very tips of his fingers to trace the font on the front cover.

"So who do you usually hang out with around at school" he said, placing the book back on the table.

"hmm, well Lunas my cousin, so I spend a lot of time with her. But, she's great so I probably would even if she wasn't my cousin..." as y/n spoke it was visually observable how much of a good listener George was.

" Luna she's a sweet girl, yeah" said George with a lighthearted sigh. "I was wondering actually if you wanted to start hanging out with Fred, Lee and I when we get back to school...I've had a really fun time with you and I don't think I'm quite ready for it to end" he moved his hand from the desk and started rubbing small circles on his own thigh.

"no thanks..." y/n said, turning her head away from him.

"what-" his eyes went wide, his relaxed posture slipped into a stiff and embarrassed expression.

"I'm only joking!" She turned around, revealing a large toothy grin.

He gave sigh of relief, slipping back into his relaxed posture. Then, y/n leaned over the wooden armrest and wrapped both her arms around his upper body. Her body shifted with his as he took a deep breath in. His arms meeting around her lower waist. It was like she could feel each one of his fingers around her and her whole body was being engulfed by him

Then, a bombarding sequence of steps came bursting down the halls. Each step getting louder and closer to the two love birds.
Then the door swung open, slamming against the floral wallpaper and Fred stood in the doorway breathing heavy.

"COME ON THEN, GET UR GLOSHERS ON WERE GOING IN THE RAIN"  Fred stumbled. And just as fast as he came, he was gone.

"children" George said.

He stood up from y/n's desk and walked backwards towards the door. Excitement visible spread across his face.

"Were children" he turned around and ran into the hallway, the same way Fred had gone, George's footsteps slightly less loud though.

Y/n was so unexplainable grateful for these people. When she was with them she felt warm and nostalgic. And when they were gone she yearned for more of them. She smiled as these thoughts came across her mind and stared into the rain dripping onto the window. The storm had picked up even more and y/n thanked her lucky stars that there was no thunder.
There was little she feared but, of all things it was thunder.

By the time y/n came barreling down the stairs, Harry, Fred, George, and Hermoine were already gathered and ready to go out.
As soon as they noticed her they opened the front door to 12 Grimmauld Place and threw themselves out on the street. Shouting in excitement as they were all completely soaked from head to toe before even reaching the sidewalk. The street was pitch black in every direction she looked in. But, there was a dim orange glow coming from the street lights.
Y/n could see Harry and Ron a little further down the street. Ron ran towards Harry with incredible speed, jumping up and bending his knees up to his chest, he splashed into a huge puddle, dowsing Harry in muddy water. Harry, winding his right leg back, kick a large glob of the mud up to Ron's face, buckling over in laughter. They continued this but y/n shifted her attention to Hermoine, she was sitting on the front porch, attempting to dry off. But frustration rose in her as every ten seconds, a gust of wind would leave her soaked again.
Y/n greatly enjoyed simply watching her friends be themselves, but she was snapped out of her concentration as someone grabbed her from behind. Her arms were pinned to her chest as the person lifted her up and off of her feet. She let out a quick yelp and stretched her legs out furiously, in search for solid ground, but it was no use, the figure was far to tall.
After another second or two, she was put down and whipped herself around to see none other then Fred, next to him was George

"Dad says we can walk down to the river!" George exclaimed.

"wanna go?" Fred asked

"Yes!" she said, fearing she came across too excited or desperate, she cleared her throat, "...I mean yeah...uh.. yeah"

The two boys looked at each other and smiled, looking back at her.

"Come on loser" Fred said, placing his muscular hand across the top of her soaking wet head and giving her a noogie.
