Luna had decided that the party wasn't really her scene, which y/n couldn't be mad at her for but she was undeniably disappointed
So when Friday night rolled along, she was left getting ready on her own. The most difficult part was deciding what she was going to wear. It had been ages since she's been to a party and she wasn't certain of what look she wanted to pull off. So, they went with their gut and decided to go with a short, dainty, white dress with black fishnets. Accompanied by several silver chains and matching earrings.
Her music blasted from her MP3 player as she tried to drown out her horrific stomach ache. She was consciously and subconsciously worried for this party, worried that people would look at her the same way they did in the great hall. Worried they wouldn't like her music. But excited to dance (and drink) with freedom!
Before leaving she took it upon herself to meditate, grounding herself in preparation for what has most likely going to be a dramatic night. She put on her Black tourmaline necklace and a citrine ring for protection, and automatically felt much for confident about tonight.

The sun was beginning to set, so she started on her way to the Gryffindor common room

The sun was beginning to set, so she started on her way to the Gryffindor common room. As she strolled through the corridor, there was a bustling energy among the students she past. Booming laughs among people passing by, and childish squeals of excited meant. Every once and awhile, a few people would shamelessly turn their heads to look y/n up and down.
Much to her relief, she finally reached the common room.  She could hear the muffled music through the thick stone wall, accompanied by the chatter of other students.

*any song you please*

"Password?" questioned the fat lady.

"Uhh...." Fred and George hadn't said anything about a password.
But suddenly the painting swung forwards, and Fred was standing directly behind it. Before any words could exit his mouth, his eyes widened at the sight of y/n's outfit.

"my god.." he said under his breath.

"You like ?" Y/n giggled and twirled in a circle, giving him the full 360. The ends of her dress curled upwards as  the wind turned around her.

"I love it" he smiled childishly

He placed his hand on her elbow and ushered her in. She made her grand entrance on Freds arm. It felt like slow motion as she strutted in through the door. Y/n made the conscious decision that she was going to be confident tonight. No matter how worried she was. One step in front of the other, she thought. Don't pay attention to the staring eyes.
She knew that, obviously, there was going to be a large amount of people there. But, she didn't expect to see so many people she knew.                Ron was sitting on the couch, his arms stretched out along the back of the sofa. He had a red solo cup sitting between his legs. And he was talking to Dean, who was sitting with his legs crossed, laughing at something Seamus had said. Seamus was standing in front of the couch, red solo cup in hand. He was telling an elaborate story, waving his hands around and yelling inaudibly over the crowd.
In the far corner of the room was Draco Malfoy. He was leaning up against a wall, scanning the crowd and whispering to Blaise, who was leaning next to him. Blaise, locked eyes with y/n, winking as he raised a cup to his mouth.
In the middle of the room, a huge crowd of kids were dancing. In the crowd y/n was able to spot Lavender Brown, who was jumping up and down viciously with her eyes closed. Y/n admired her for a moment before moving to Cedric who was dancing with a girl who y/n didn't know. His hand were on her hips as they rocked back and forth in sync. In the middle of the crowd, dancing on her own his Ginny. Her blood orange hair flowed over her shoulders as she swayed back and forth. The strobing lights glossed over her face, and y/n was confident that she was the happiest person here.
Y/n watched her for a few more seconds before moving her attention to a group of kids sitting in a circle on the floor. Amidst these kids, she spotted Cho, her eyes were glossed over and bloodshot as she past a newly lit joint to Neville, sitting next to her.
Y/n watched as Pansy Parkinson went running past her and out of the Gryffindor common room, tears trickling down her face while her cheeks grew bright red with anger. As for what she was upset about, y/n didn't know and didn't care. She was ready to have a good night.
