| Chapter Five | :: Now What?

No One's POV

Everyone had been trying to get the door open until Jenner finally opened the door. Jacqui stayed to commit suicide with Jenner. Andrea decided to stay as well, making Dale stay with her.

Everyone else ran for their stuff and to find their way out of the CDC.

The glass wouldn't budge, as everyone beat on it with anything they could find.

"Rick, I have something that might help." Carol says.

"Carol, I don't think a nail file's gonna do it." Shane spat.

"Your first morning at camp, when I washed your uniform, I found this." Carol says, handing him a grenade.

"Holy shit." Rick and Octavia said, as Rick took it from Carol.

"Give it to me." Octavia says.

Rick looked at her like she was crazy.

"I'm trained to use these, don't argue with me!" Octavia shouts.

Rick sighs then hands it to her and runs off to Lori and Carl.

"Everyone get down!" Octavia shouts.

Octavia tossed the grenade at the window and jumped away, he'd back colliding with the wall but she wasn't hurt badly. Just body stunned.

"Go! Go! Run!" Daryl shouts.

Daryl went to Octavia and helped her to her feet before they run out of the building, with everyone else. Walkers came out and everyone began killing them.

Octavia watched as her parents got her brother to safety.

"Go!" Rick shouts, keeping Lori ahead of him as he grabbed Carl's hand.

Octavia got the truck door open and got in the passenger seat. She then sees Daryl was still killing walkers.

"Daryl!" Octavia shouts.

"Get down!" Daryl shouts, getting in the truck and pulling Octavia close to him.

He uses his body to shield her as the building explodes. The ground tumbled from the explosion. Everyone slowly came up to check if the coast was clear.

The group had been traveling since the CDC and came up on a road full of empty cars. Octavia was checking the cars when she was grabbed. She sees it was Shane and began to fight him off but he kept her still.

"Sshh! Get down!" Shane whispers, pointing to walkers coming their way.

"Carl!" Octavia whispers.

"I got him, you get down!" Shane says.

Octavia gets down and under a car when Shane guides Carl to Octavia. He crawls under and hugs his big sister. Octavia held him close, keeping him away from the walkers. Sophia was under the other car.

Octavia kept a finger over her mouth and Sophia nodded, clutching her doll.

Octavia sees that her mother was under another car, a hand over Carol's mouth. The fellow mother trying not to cry in fear for her daughter.

Everything seemed to be going smooth until a walker reached under the car for Sophia. Sophia screams and gets out from under the car and runs into the woods.

"Sophia!" Carol screams.

Octavia has Carl go to their mother before sprinting towards Sophia, who was running from two walkers.
