No One's POV

Daryl wakes up the next morning, looking down to see Octavia cuddled into him. A hand on his chest, gripping his shirt, and a leg tossed over his. His arm around her and the other behind his head.

He couldn't help but admire the beautiful woman in his arms. He knew he had a lot of work to do but he was grateful for last night.

Soon, Octavia began to stir and he absentmindedly held her closer and tighter as her eyes opened.

"Hey." She says.

"Hey." He says.

"What made you come back?" Octavia asks.

"An old friend kept a promise." Daryl says.

Octavia was confused.

"I never been one to believe in god or spirits and all that. But when I was out there, I got a dream... I saw T-Dog. Let's just say he gave the kick in the ass I needed." Daryl says.

Octavia smiles as a tear falls.

Thanks, T. Octavia thought.

"Good. You definitely needed it. Going off with your asshole brother." Octavia says.

Daryl chuckles.

"Yeah. That was stupid." Daryl says.

"Yes it was. Well, I've gotta get up. I gotta go talk to Carl." Octavia says.

"Ok. I'm gonna go talk to your dad. See if I can do anything." Daryl says.

"Ok." Octavia says.

"I know I got a fight ahead of me and things aren't gonna be the same. I don't want rush nothin, so I'm gonna take one of the other cells. When you're ready, I'll be back in here with you." Daryl says.

"Thought you weren't gonna sleep in no cage." Octavia says, mimicking his accent.

Daryl chuckles. That was adorable. He thought.

"Yeah, well... if I win my ol' lady back, I know she prefers a bed than the floor." Daryl says.

Octavia couldn't deny or ignore the butterflies in her stomach.

"Thank you. I'll see you around." Octavia says.

"See you around." Daryl says.

Octavia grabs her stuff before heading out. Daryl grabs his and goes a few cells down and sets himself up before sitting down for a second, playing with an arrow.

He then looks up, hearing and seeing someone approach.

"Haven't had the chance to say I'm glad you came back." Carol says.

"To what? All this?" Daryl asks, using his arrow to point at the cell.

He knew no one knew about last night and he wasn't sure if Octavia wanted anyone to know so he was gonna keep his mouth shut about it. Play it off as she still can't stand his mere presence if anyone.

"This is our home." Carol says, sitting on the little bench his cell had.

"This is a tomb." Daryl says.

"That's what T-Dog called it. Thought he was right till you found Octavia." Carol says.

Daryl gave a little smile, remembering the relief he felt when he found her.

"He's your brother, but he's not good for you. Don't let him bring you down. After all, look how far you've come." Carol says.

Daryl chuckles.
