Summer Holiday Chaos

"HURRY UP KAGS!" Hinata yelled while
running to the gym.

"IM COMING BOKE!!" Kageyama responed, starting to chase after him.

It was a normal morning at the Karasuno gym but unknown to others, today was a big day for Kageyama, he was finally going to confess to his crush, Tsukishima.

It had been a long road for Kageyama. It took him all year to gather up his confidence and they were at the end of their first year so it only made sense to confess now.

Kageyama scurried into the gym just loosing to Hinata.

"Seems the idiot duo decided to join us!" Tsukishima said as Kageyama and Hinata caught their breathe.

Kageyama was lost in Tsukishima's eyes admiring his handsome face but was broken from his thoughts.

"RIGHT KAGEYAMA!!" Hinata yelled after telling Tsukishima why they weren't dumb.

"Hmm...? Uh yea!" Kageyama responded. Everyone was confused as he's always one to fight with Tsukishima.

Tsukishima has picked up on Kageyama's strange behaviour. Kageyama stutters around him and gets flustered way to easily.

Yamaguchi told him that Kageyama probably likes him but Tsukishima doesn't want Kageyama to like him.

Don't get him wrong, Tsukishima LOVES Kageyama but he doesn't want to end up breaking Kageyama or being broken by Kageyama. He doesn't want to get with Kageyama just for Kageyama to leave him for someone better.

He 'knew' that he was no match for Kageyama. It'd be devastating for people to find out that Kageyama got with Tsukishima as Kageyama deserves way better in Tsukishima's opinion.

Tsukishima is also a very insensitive and insecure person. He knows jealousy or lack of trust from his part will ruin the relationship. He'd rather cut it off than end up being heartbroken or breaking someone's heart.

-Time Skip-

The day was pretty normal except for the fact that Kageyama was one of the highest in his year level for their end of year exams. He was only a few people under Tsukishima.

What people don't know is that Kageyama studied into odd hours of the night to make sure that Tsukishima would be proud of him.

He received praise from everyone during after school practice. The third years were extremely impressed and happy that they got to see Kageyama do so well before they left for college.

The 'forgotten trio' congratulated him and told him how impressed they were. Tanaka and Noya scolded him for doing better than then but you could tell that they were proud.

Hinata was annoyed that he studied without telling him but was also happy for the setter. Yamaguchi told him how impressed he was as well as Kiyoko and Yachi.

Kiyoko wasn't that surprised though as they were cousins and Miwa told her about Kageyama staying up late at night. Kiyoko also new about Kageyama's huge crush on Tsukishima and helped him practice his confession.

He was excited to hear at least some form of praise from Tsukishima. He slowly walked up to Tsukishima and quietly told him about his grades. He slowly looked up at Tsukishima who was laughing.

"Heh? Is King asking for my acknowledgment! As if, this changes nothing, you're still a stupid, idiotic, annoying King no matter what your grades are saying!" Tsukishima said to Kageyama.

Tsukishima *oh no that was too harsh even for me.... I hope he didn't take it heart.... but I need him to believe that I don't like him so it was the best choice I could've made!*
