Chapter 3

Mona's pov

First day of school after a long summer break.

John and Jason gave me a ride to school. I hesitated to enter the gate because of populars. By this time you would have guessed. I am one of those losers.

As I was hesitating, a hand, closed my eyes. I knew who it was.

"Tina, I know it's you, " I said smiling. She removed her hands and came in front of me.

"How you know it was me??" she asked, folding her arms across her chest.

"Cos you are as crazy as me, " I said hitting her head. She was my best friend from the day I started to walk. Unlike me, she is a jock and bold personals.

"Baby bell rang, we need to get our schedules and leave for class come, " she said and dragged me. As soon as she dragged me, I let out a yelp, like a dog.

She had confusion plastered all over her face, but still she dragged me in.

We went straight to the office room. Mrs. Rebecca was arranging something. We stood in the doorway.

"May I come in??" I asked. Her head shot up towards me and she signaled for us to come in.

"Mona and Tina right??" she asked, adjusting her glasses. We nodded.

After a minute of searching, she gave us our schedules.

I had

1st hour- Gym

2nd hour- History

3rd hour- Chemistry

4th hour- Physics

5th hour- English

And Tina had

1st hour-Algebra

2nd hour-Gym

3rd hour- Chemistry

4th hour- Physics

5th hour- English

We saw each other and smiled widely because we had our last three classes together.

"Ok, now we need to go to our classes. See you at lunch, " she said and left.

I went to the gym, where I dint want to go, because it was the most dangerous place. It had cheerleaders and jocks. I let out a frustrated sigh and marched towards the gym.

As I entered the gym a hand grabbed me, pulling me inside the guy's changing room. That was a guy of course. 'Wow, I am in the guy's changing room with a guy, whom I haven't seen before' note the sarcasm.

"Who are you?? Why did you bring me here?? Are you ins-" he stopped me by closing my mouth with his hands. That was when I saw his face. He looked so hot, but he was cold. I mean literally, he was like ice. He had brown eyes, brown hair and he was skinny, like me.

"Shh.. I am here to save you" He said looking straight into my eyes. I was awed, like he was so handsome that something inside me said'Mate'.

'Wait, what is Mate??' I thought to myself and had a confused expression on my face.

He shook me and asked "Don't you want to know from what??"

"Yes. Tell me, " I said, trying to concentrate because something inside kept on tell 'Mate'.

"So these cheerleaders are trying to play pranks on you-" After that I didn't hear anything. Everything he spoke was like in the background. I was only able to see that he was talking, not able to hear.

As I was seeing him, something cold came into contact with my skin. When I realized it, I had mud all over my head and that was the thing which came in contact with my skin too.

That guy in front of me was laughing his ass out. I didn't make a fuss or cry to show off my weakness. I just went out of the changing room to girl's changing room. This was not new to me 'duh'. I took a shower, changed into the sports uniform, a short which barely covered my butt and a tight t shirt.

But I made a mental note to ask my mom about the 'Mate' thing.
