Okay. So, while I was editing TNR I realised that there were many plots that I had changed while I was writing it.
Some of them, are really so interesting and contrasting that I decided to tell you all about it.
Basically,
• Some Facts about The Naive Rebel •
~~~~~~~~~~~We'll start from the beginning'
1) There was a faint idea in my mind that I would deviate Inaayat from English to Crime Solving, but then I realised that this way I wouldn't be able to spread the idea of *f* the stereotypes. Inaayat's life is Literature and she had to own it.
2) *This one you aren't prepared for* At one point, I did even think of making Mishti the villain. She was supposed to betray Inaayat. In what way, I don't know.
3) Okay. So, Nikhil was supposed to develop a soft corner for Inaayat. He was supposed to be the proper wall between Ishaan and Inaayat.
*insecurities*4) The warden wasn't supposed to be a positive character.
5) Inaayat's brother character wasn't someone I had thought of. I just came up with him cause I was falling short of words in a chapter. xx
6) Ishaan wasn't supposed to have such a bad past. Maybe only his mother, but I wanted to show a connection between his emotions and the case.
7) Okay, so before I had started the book and just sketched out the rough plot, I had thought that the main climax would be when Inaayat (Niyati Mishra) simply collides with the Principal when Ishaan would have been running behind to catch him.
This sounds so weird and wrong at this moment.
'Then, Fall' chapter- the main climax was something I had figured out while writing the first three chapters.How bad the climax would have been if I did continue with that plot. *oof*
8) Sameer was going to betray Inaayat at the last moment. While I had written the last chapter, I had a dark alternative to that version where everyone is present in the 'Then, fall' chapter except Sameer who had gone somewhere for his work. And while investigating the Principal, Ishaayat would have figured out that the Principal hadn't killed Ojas.
Both Ishaan and Inaayat would have figured out that Sameer was in actual the person behind Ojas' murder, and had hated him.
and, Sameer would have made a very spooky call and would have just said, "Hi, Angel."
This would have been the ending^^
(i can only imagine your - WE WANT A PART 2, comments)
9) The first kiss was planned for chapter 40th (The cliff scene) but I decided to show some mercy.
10) Inaayat's drunk scene wasn't a plan, but I am a sucker for such scenes. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. All my fan fictions have this scene.
If I do remember something else, I would make sure to add it here.
Love!
