CHAPTER 10: JACK'S TRAUMA PT 1

JACK'S BACKSTORY PT 1..... (THREE YEARS AGO)

"Hey,sweety good morning!" said Jack's mom as she makes him breakfast. "I made your favourite!"

Jack had got up from his room to be greeted from his mother. He went and sat down by the table in the kitchen. His mother seemed oddly excited.

"What's going on mom?" said Jack tiredly as he had just woke up.

"Come on you know what going on!" said his mom cheerfully as she hands over his breakfast. Jack looks at his plate to find a stack of pancakes in the deformed shape that seemed to resemble a smiley face.

"Seems like someones happy." smiled Jack as he starts eating his pancakes. Jack wonders to himself what could be making his mother so happy, it's not anyone's birthday at least from what he remembers. Struggling to think of anything he caves in and asks his mom what's shes so cheerful about.

"You don't remember...Jack shame on you!" says his mother in a playful tone. She finishes cooking up her breakfast and sits across from him.She sprinkles cinnamon and syrup onto her pancakes before she begins to eat it,but she is still very much focused on Jack.

"Sorry,guess I'm a bit forgetful." said Jack as he nearly finishes his plate of pancakes. His mother puts on a sightly disappointed face ,but sighs right after.

"Your father's finally coming home! Remember!" she says over excitedly as she continues to eat her breakfast. "Today's his welcome back party!"

"I don't think it's good to praise someone for coming back to his family like his suppose to" sighs Jack upset.

"Jack his your father." says his mother now a bit upset as well.

"I can't take you seriously when your stuffing your face with pancakes like that." laughs Jack trying to lighten the mood. His mother finishes her pancakes and stares at him seeming a bit sad.

"You should be happy that his coming back!" says his mom not seeming amused by his joke.

"Even if his coming back he'll just leave again." said Jack not even facing his mother anymore. His mother gets up from her seat and walks behind him and gives him a hug.

"I love you sweetypie ,but you need to understand." says his mother as she gets back and releases him from her hug. " You dad is very busy overseas making contracts and helping us grow our family business, this house is all thanks to him."

She points around the house and Jack doesn't seem to care. She then sits on the table facing him and crossing her arms.

"I know that it's hard, I know very much as well since I miss him everyday his gone ,but he loves you and me very much and it would hurt him if you say that you didn't miss him, trust me you'll be much happier when you see him again."

"Fine." says Jack trying not to make ruin his mom's good mood.

"Yay!" shouts his mom as she gives him a big hug and a kiss on the forehead."You can even invite your friends to his welcome party!"

"I don't think William and Henry would be excited to welcome back a person they hardly know." scoffs Jack playing with his fork.

"I think they will love it even you." she says as she takes their plates and begins washing them in the sink. "One day you'll take over this company and you'll thank him for all the effort he put into it."

"I was hoping I could find my own career like Henry and William." says Jack ,this seems to off set his mother since she pauses a bit ,but continues to wash dashes.

"It's hard to find jobs out here especially ones that pay good, all me and your father is doing is trying to give you a good future."

"I want to make my own mark on the world ,I don't just want take over you and dad's dream." says Jack as he gets up from his chair.

"And you will leave a mark ,but your too young to know what you want, it's for the best if you take over the company." sighs his mother as she starts packing up the dishes into cabinets. "We'll talk about this later Jack."

Jack nods his head to his mother as he leaves the room and enters his room.
"It's been so long since I last saw him." whispers Jack to himself a he crashes into his bed. "Mabye it won't be that bad to see dad again like my mom says." He closes his eyes thinking what to say to his father. After awhile of thinking he let's sleep take him.

~LATER THAT DAY~

Jack and his mother have prepared the welcome party for Jack's father and now them and the guests wait for him to arrive
