The Masked Man

CHAPTER 7: UNINVITED GUEST

Henry,William and the rest of the guest are amazed and both terrified of what their seeing.Lily is trying her hardest to pull away from the man but he has a strong grip around her. He seems to be scanning the room looking at all the guest till his head stops directly at William ,but then he quickly moves his head again.

"Let me go!" Lily shouts as she tries again to move out of his grasp ,but he drops the knife into his other hand which was holding her waist and quickly grabs her neck.

"Shhh...be a good girl and mabye I won't kill you" He whispers into her ear and she stands still in a panic. "Good!" He lets go of her neck and she takes a big breath as he gives a little pat on her head.He returns to grabbing her waist and he lifts the knife closely to her face.

"I have to do something..." says William as he slowly starts walking towards the killer.

"William" says Henry softly as Will turns around "Good luck"

William continues to walk to him till his in front of him.

"A-auh." He points the knife closer to Lily's face." Not any closer~" He giggles. The knife graces Lily's cheek and a small wound opens up that lets a little blood fall down her cheek.

"Stop!" shouts William catching the murder's attention"Why...why are you here?"

"Well I felt sad that nobody invited me to this lovely little party." He lets out a little giggle under his breath. "...So I thought I could just drop in and see how everything's going." He takes the knife near Lily's face and presses his head next to hers."This one here looked a bit lonely so I thought me and her could have a small dance together...right?" she reluctantly shook her head and agreed to him.

"Is that all?" said William knowing his making fun of the situation.

"Well that's not all it...." He moves the knife around in his hand. "I wanted to know if you got my little love letter."

"Love letter..?" questions Will.

"You already forgot?!" signs the killer "Well let's take this outside and I'll remind you!"

He takes his knife and stabs it into Lily's stomach. All the guests including Lily lets out a scream as she falls to the floor .The masked man runs out the room into the backyard but signals William to follow him before he runs off. Both Will and Henry quickly runs to Lily's aid. Henry sits down besides her and tries to stop the blood. Henry grabs William's shoulder.

"Go after him,I can take care of this." Henry gives a reassuring look to Will. William starts running moving past the horde of terrified guests and enters the backyard finding the killer waiting for him.

"Finally your here,the wait was killing me." He giggles "Get it?"

"You sick bastard!" shouts William as he gets ready for a fight.

"Hey..now ..there's no need to get all tensed up!" laughs the murder "All I wanted to do was talk to you..." He let's out a sigh almost seeming disappointed William acted that way.

"There's no need for talk." said William "You hurt enough of my friends I'm not letting you get away this time."

"Is that so?" asks the man as he drops the knife on the ground. "Well then let's do this the old fashioned way!"

Before William can act the madman quickly throws himself on top of Will and pins him to the ground. "Hey there" He giggles as he grabs tightly around Will's wrists. William struggles as rips away from his grasps and slams his fist on the side of the madman's head. The killer let's go of Will,backs up and shakes his head,but immediately tries punching William back and almost lands a hit but misses Will by inches. William squeezes his hands into fists and goes in for another hit but the killer barrels himself into Will and pushes him into one of the stone walls surrounding the yard.

The man grabs William by his shirt and lets out a hurricane of punches.William falls to the ground and tries to get back up but the killer starts kicking his stomach.William grabs his leg but he kicks William with his other leg in the face. The murderer stops kicking after awhile. William tries to fight but he can't move a muscle out of the pain.

"Not much of a fight are you?"laughs the madman as he walks away. William stumbles to follow him but falls again to his knees. The murder climbs one of the walls and says "I'll see you on Monday at the chapel,Oh and come alone,we don't want any uninvited guests to interrupt us now do we?" He smirks and blows William a kiss before he backs up and jumps off behind the wall.

William scrabbles on the ground trying to get up.After awhile he gets up and stumbles into the ballroom where Lily was stabbed.He sees Lily holding onto Henry all bandaged up and their both talking to a police officer. William walks up to both of them as the officer leaves.

"William!" shouts Henry as he gives him a big hug."I was worried about you when you didn't show up for awhile..." Henry notices the bruises on William's face. "That must've hu-"

His interrupted by Jack."Lily!" Jack runs up to Lily and gives her big hug. "I was so worried." Jack let's go of her and pats her shoulders.

"Jack,I want to call off the wedding..." says Lily as jack stares in shock. "I just... don't think this will work.."

"Why?!"

"Because my heart belongs to someone else." She stares up to Henry and hugs his arm.Jack stares at Henry "Wait hold on here!-"

"I just don't want to marry you if my heart is for someone else!" she tugs Henry's sleeve "He saved my life,how could I not love him!." She grabs his arm tighter "Come on Henry let's go" she pulls Henry out of the house and that leaves Jack and William alone together.

"You alright?" asks William

"Yeah I'm fine,to be honest I didn't want to get married."

"Why not?"

"Well the only reason I was marrying her was because of my aunt." Jack shakes his head and let's a sigh "My company isn't gaining money like it used to and my aunt was worried we would go bankrupt so she found Lily whose parents are very wealthy."

"So she tried to marry you off for the money?"

"Yes and it happened so fast that I couldn't have said no..." Jack let's out another sigh and crosses his arms. "That was the first real encounter with the killer,do you get any leads."

"Well there is something..."

"What is it?"

"Nevermind it's nothing.." He begins to walks away from Jack out of the house "I gotta go for now I'll check up on you later!"

William is back home at his desk with the murder's letter in his hand."It was for the best I didn't tell him,this is between me and him and I'm not gonna let anyone else get hurt..."
