Chapter Three

'Colder than Ice'

Minnie decided to go home first to change her clothes. As soon as she set her foot inside she was welcomed by the emptiness of the place. Her driver was gone now. She only needs her driver when she calls fo him.

She walk up the stairs. Nothing changed inside her room. It was still the same. Same old room where she and Miyeon used to cuddle up when it's winter or whenever the older demand for it.

This place remind her of things that should be forgotten already. She doesn't want to live in the past nor present all she wants is for the time to stop so she can breath.

She opened her closet and her clothes were already arranged inside from the ones with color and plain ones. Her watches and bracelets were neatly placed also. She scans it for a moment before settling for a black dress shirt and some white tight pants.

She place it on her bed as she walks inside the bathroom to have a warm shower.

Minnie walk out, her hair was damp. She slowly took her robe off as she wears her clothes. She's uncomfortable dressing up inside the bathroom. Wearing her pants and sports bra. Minnie look at herself at the mirror.

Her hair was still wet.

She grab the spare towel inside her bathroom drying her hair up. She wore her black dress shirt buttoning every buttons of the dress shirt one by one.

She walk out of the house with her phone and wallet on her hand. She decided to use her motorcycle for today since the seat of her car is probably still wet until now. She rolled her sleeves up to her elbows as she sat on her motorcycle.

Carefully wearing her helmet.

Yuqi was waiting for Minnie at the company. The employees doesn't have any idea that the supposed to be CEO is gonna visit today. They haven't seen the only daughter of the Yontararaks.

Minnie arrived she took her helmet off revealing her blonde locks that caught the attention of everyone. She parked her motorcycle in front of the building when the guard walk towards her. "Uhm sorry but you can't just park your motorcycle there." the guard politely said.

"Don't tell me what to do." Minnie said as she walk passed by him. Just seeing Minnie the guard bows down. He doesn't even know who she is.

Minnie walk inside as she wears her sunglasses. "Really wearing sunglasses inside the building." Yuqi commented. "Shut up or I'll slit your throat." Minnie was only joking but Yuqi looks so terrified. "Tour me around so I won't have any problems next week." Minnie stifled a laugh when she saw Yuqi back away from her.

"Are you even Minnie?" Yuqi asks.

Minnie arch an eyebrow at her. "Yes and why wouldn't I." Minnie answered as she walks ahead entering the elevator. "Yah wait up." Yuqi yelled causing for the employees to look at her weirdly. Minnie shook her head in disapproval of Yuqi's attitude.

"You should know that once I'm in my workplace. I work professionally. I know the company discussed about work ethics so please behave yourself." The thai sternly said making Yuqi gulp.

When they arrived at the top floor Minnie was welcomed by her supposed to be secretary as to what Yuqi said to her. "Good afternoon Ms. Song." The girl bows to Yuqi.

Minnie looks around. It wasn't that different from the main building in Thailand. "I'll show you your office." Yuqi said as she leads the way. Minnie followed her from behind. Some of the employees were looking at Minnie in awe but the thai didn't want them to look at her like that.

Yuqi opened the door for Minnie as the thai walk inside. "So this is my office?" She asks as she walks towards the big glass panel. She looks down and saw cars passing by. She already loves her office.

"By the way your mom called me awhile ago. She said that you should take care of yourself." Yuqi blurted. Minnie was sitting confortably on the table with her legs crossed. "Really?" Minnie acted like she was excited but she wasn't. It's not that she hates her mother. She is not a showy person when it comes to feelings.

Instead of voicing it out or taking an action she'd rather stay quiet and let it flow like a water.

"Yes she said that you should call her back. She's been calling you earlier but your not answering." Yuqi added.

They heard a knock from the door. The wooden door opened slightly revealing Minnie's soon to be secretary. "Ms. Song someone is looking for you at the lobby."

"Who?"

"We don't know her but she said that she was a close friend of yours." Yuqi nodded as she follows Minnie's secretary. "You aren't coming with to the lobby?" Yuqi asks who was standing by the door frame. "Do your business. I'll stay here." Minnie stood up as she stands in front of the glass panel. Yuqi sighed as she finally closed the door.

"What are you doing here unnie?" Yuqi questions. "I brought food for Minnie. I know that she's stubborn when it comes to her meal." Miyeon reasoned out as she hands the lunchbox to Yuqi.

"Woah just woah. I promise that this would get to Minnie unnie." Yuqi smiled at the older.

"Thanks Yuqi."

"No problem unnie. Just don't make the same mistake again." Yuqi whispered the last part but it was still loud enough for Miyeon. "I promise."

Unknowst to the two Minnie was actually watching them. 'She's still the same Miyeon I met and fell in live with.' the thai thought as she watch the two from a far.

She decided to walk towards them. "Yuqi." the second maknae flinched hearing Minnie's cold voice that was colder than ice. "Unnie." Yuqi didn't stuttered but hell she was terrified by Minnie's aura. "Email me the schedule tomorrow. I'll keep on monitoring this week." Minnie said with firmness.

Miyeon was just staring at her. Minnie turned to look at Miyeon. "Nice seeing you again Miyeon~ssi." Miyeon greeted the older not even smiling. "I'll get going now and please email me the schedule as soon as possible." Minnie left the two but before she can walk out.

Yuqi ran to her while she was holding the lunchbox. The second maknae held the Thai's wrist preventing thw girl from walking "Here unnie. I know you haven't eaten yet." Yuqi forcefully give the lunchbox to her.

Minnie was about to throw the lunchbox when she noticed the design of the lunchbox. It was the same lunchbox that Miyeon would always bring when she would forgot her lunch or when she doesn't want to eat at the cafeteria.

Miyeon watched Minnie who was staring at the lunchbox that was now on her hands. Miyeon wasn't sure if she saw Minnie's teary eyes. "Okay." Minnie completely walked away as a tear rolled down on her cheek.
