Chapter Six

'Fell out of love'

Yuqi was still outside waiting for Miyeon but when it was already past eleven she decided to just go. She texted Miyeon leaving the hospital completely. It was already late and glad that she has her car.

Playing with her car keys her eyes caught a glimpse of a seemingly familiar woman that she haven't seen for the past two years. With her heart beating fast she was sure that what she is seeing is her ex-girlfriend right now.

"Soyeon?" She whispered to the air. There weren't many people at the hospitals balcony but Yuqi ignored the fact that Soyeon was here. She walk inside the elevator still playing with her car keys. From all of their friends only Shuhua and Soojin are still together and happy but not for Yuqi and Soyeon and especially for Minnie and Miyeon.

Let's just say Soyeon fall out of love but sometimes you will never know the value of someone, until it becomes a memory. It's been two years and Yuqi had already moved on or so she thought.

Soyeon turned around and when she saw Yuqi inside the closing elevator she didn't hesitated to run after the girl. She immediately pressed the button as the door opens again. Their eyes meet and it was like everything came back to Yuqi.

She broke thw eye contact as Soyeon walk inside the elevator. She never knew that she could run that fast.

Yuqi didn't paid attention to Soyeon which hurts the older but it was okay because she was the reason why Yuqi doesn't want her in her life again.

Not knowing that Yuqi was actually panicking in the inside. 'What do I do? Should I greet her like 'How has life been without me?' Yuqi shrugged her thoughts off as the elevator door opened. Yuqi walked out of the elevator fast not wanting to have any conversation with her past lover.

Before she can even exit the hospital she felt a soft warm hand on her cold hands. She closed her eyes tightly breathing heavily. She turned to look at the person who stopped her. With a forced smiled on her face she aks. "Did you need anything?" she asks more calm. Soyeon let go of her hand making her sigh in relief.

"Can we talk?" Yuqi can see through Soyeon's eyes. She can see sadness in her eyes. "There's nothing to talk about. I'll get going." Yui walk away.

"There is US." Soyeon yelled since Yuqi was a bit far from her. She slowly walk towards Yuqi again when she noticed that the younger stopped in her tracks. Yuqi turned to face Soyeon with a hurt expression. "There is no US now because of you." Yuqi pointed out and deep down Soyeon was hurt but she doesn't have the right to.

"Look two years have already passed so there's nothing to talk about besides you broke up with me. It's what you want so deal with it. I don't care about you because you never cared when you spitted out those words on me when it was my fucking birthday. I should be happy in a special day but what did you do? You fucking made me cry on the day I was born." Yuqi was frustrated she let it all out.

The words that she wanted to tell Soyeon. "And if you reall want to talk about us you could've done that years ago." before Yuqi left she saw a tear escaped Soyeon's eyes as the older quickly wiped it off. For a second Yuqi was soft for her. She wanted to take her words back. She still cares for Soyeon.

Yuqi walked away leaving Soyeon. This time she was the one who left Soyeon behind. Yuqi wasn't aware the in those two years Soyeon was actually trying to reach out to her. She always sends flowers to Yuqi's office and she always watch the younger from afar.

She promised to herself that when her birthday comes she'll talk to Yuqi and ask for forgiveness but in those two years she was a coward so she ended up looking from afar but now that she had the courage to do so. She was now the one who was left behind by the woman she loved.

She regretted saying those words to Yuqi she knows the younger was deeply hurt. Her tears continues to fall out of her eyes.

"Happy Birthday to me." Soywon whispered as she watch Yuqi's car disappear from her sight.

From a far a couple was watching Soyeon sadly. "There really is no chance for them."

The older one ignored the younger ones words as she walks towards Soyeon. "Let's take her home." and by the that the younger prepared the car.

"Yeon let's go home. That's enough." Soyeon faced her friend with tears still falling from her eyes. "Soo." Soyeon hugged Soojin crying on her shoulders. Soojin pats her back lightly when they heard a car honk.

"It's cold outside. Let's go home." Shuhua said with the car window rolled down. Soojin opened the car door for Soyeon.

Soojin sat on the passenger seat beside Shuhua. The youngest look at Soyeon with a smile. "Everything's gonna be okay Soyeon unnie." Shuhua tried to cheer her unnie up. "My birthday is gonna be done half an hour from now." Soyeon muttered as she wipes her tears away. She smiled at the two.

"Let's drink." Soyeon exclaimed.

Meanwhile Yuqi stopped by at a convenience store to but some drinks. Her phone lit up indicating that there's a notification.

'It's her birthday today.'

Yuqi was contemplating whether she should call Soyeon or not but then she doesn't have the older ones number because she already deleted it. It was already 11:45 pm and in just fifteen minutes Soyeon's birthday is over.

She ended uo calling Shuhua instead her great annoying friend. "Yuqi." Shuhua was confused to why Yuqi would call her at this time.

"Can I have Soyeon's number?" with that being said Shuhua smiled a bit. Her phone was actually on speaker mode so Soyeon and Soojin can hear Yuqi perfectly. They are inside Soyeon's house with cans of beer everywhere.

"Yuqi." as soon as Soyeon heard Yuqi's voice she snatched the phone from Shuhua. "Yuqi." she calls out again and from Yuqi's guess the older has been drinking. "Happy Birthday." Yuqi greeted and that brought a smile on Soyeon.

But then the older started crying her heart out again. "I'm really sorry. I didn't also know why I broke up with you. It's just that I don't feel your love anymore because you were so busy." Yuqi softens hearing Soyeon sobbing.

"Happy Birthday again and we'll talk once you're sober up." Yuqi ended the call as she pays for her things.
