This is the interview of the beautiful preronasaha   who is the winner of the Fan Fiction genre in the Candy Cane Awards!

Camilla: First and foremost, Congratulations! How do you feel about being a winner in Candy Cane awards?

Prerona: It felt great, to be honest. It made me happy and gave me courage and confidence about my book.

Camilla: Tell us something about your book.

Prerona: The book mostly contains suspense, and fighting scenes, and all. But it also has romance and a little bit of comedy and emotional scenes which enhances the storyline and keeps the reader, you know.... it makes the reader want to keep reading without feeling bored. And since the story completely revolves around this particular fictional mafia gang, there are torture scenes too but I give warning in those certain chapters, so it gives my readers to choose whether to read them or not. The protagonist of my story is a secret assassin who has a tragic past. There is another character, the gang leader, whose past is related to hers, and later on in the story, there grows a love interest between them, and they go through many ups and downs after which they... I wanna stop here. To know the next part, I would like you to keep reading the story.

Camilla: Cool! When and how did you start writing?

Prerona: I discovered my interest in writing when I was 18.

Camilla: Do you want to be a professional author?

Prerona: I love to write so I want to keep it that way. Because whenever professionalism interferes things get quite serious. So, I don't want to continue writing as a job.

Camilla: Are you writing under a penname?

Prerona: No, I'm writing under my real name.

Camilla: Who are your favorite authors? That's both in and out of Wattpad.

Prerona: Inside of Wattpad, I got very much inspired by pocketbangtan and QueenLeeXD. And out of Wattpad.... since I'm from India, I have read detective books by Satyajit Ray and since my childhood, I was addicted to mysteries and thrillers and adventures. Anyways, other significant authors who have inspired me A LOT are Agatha Christie, Gillian Flynn, J.K. Rowling, O. Henry... There are many.

Camilla: What significance these authors have on your books/writing?

Prerona: The most important thing that they did was make me addicted to suspenseful stories and I'll always be grateful to them for it. The way they write each scene is praiseworthy, like... you will always be craving to find out what happens next, and you just keep on reading and reading. I try to follow their lead you can say but of course, I can't be as good as them, but I try my best and make sure to make my readers crave for more.

Camilla: We all hope you reach there! Keep working hard, gal. So, what do you think is the best thing about Wattpad? Did it help shape your writing or potential?

Prerona: Wattpad has helped me a lot in growing my interest in fan-fictions. The inspiration for writing fan-fictions that I have got is solely from Wattpad although the stories that I have read on Wattpad are pretty much different from the stories that I have read out of Wattpad....but of course, it has helped me a lot to shape my writings because I still remember the way I used to write stories in my initial days, it was horrible trust me, lmao, but now it has changed a lot.

Camilla: Don't we all love Wattpad?! Next question, What is the one thing you look for when buying or about to read a book?

Prerona: I always look for a book with good reviews and an exciting storyline.

Camilla: Is there a particular genre you love to read or write?

Prerona: Yes, I love reading and writing fanfictions. Other than thriller, mystery, and adventure, I like to read other genres as well, like horror/ supernatural, romance... And to be honest I am always ready to read any book that is available to me as long as the storyline suits my taste. I was also thinking of writing a romantic-comedy type of story but I have not come up with a plot yet, so let's see if I can do that.

Camilla: We're already getting excited for the non-existent plot! LOL! Tell us one thing that readers do that make you smile.

Prerona: My readers make me smile by showing views, votes, comments, and support for my book. When I open my notifications after publishing a chapter and see votes and comments, it truly brings a smile to my face.

Camilla: Aww... What things do you like to do in your leisure time? (Besides writing, of course!)

Prerona: During my leisure time I like to sketch. Recently I'm into cooking too.

Camilla: What is the one thing you love the most in life?

Prerona: I love cuddly animals ♥️♥️

Camilla: Any message you want to give to other aspiring authors?

Prerona: One thing that I would like to say to the aspiring authors... It's just a piece of advice... Try to end the chapters with cliffhangers, in that way the readers will be longing for the next chapters and also, if you're writing any mature scenes then don't give much thought about 'how the readers will react to these scenes or will they be satisfied or will they dislike it or will they make an issue out of the scene that I'm writing', please don't, you need not have to be worried about it unless it glorifies rape or even more sensitive topics, if they can't read stories as 'stories', then it's not your fault and it's not only limited to the mature scenes, it might happen with any scenes, and being a fanfiction writer I've faced these problems, so be open to constructive criticism. I hope all the aspiring authors do a great job in this field, and be happy with the contents they put out there, and a big ALL THE BEST to their future.

Camilla: Thanks for sharing your experiences with us! And let me assure you that this is just one of the many wins for your book. Good Luck with all of your works! (Really excited for the Rom-Com)

Prerona: Lmao, thank you!

Camilla: Welcome, Prerona!
