Jon Foreman had always had plenty of girls to choose from, he'd never had any trouble dating, unlike his shy and somewhat timid brother, Tim. This one girl, however, had stood out to him. Bold, beautiful, and sensitive, girls like Danielle had always been Jon's type. He promised himself he'd never date again after Lauren, his last girlfriend, but he couldn't deny himself this chance. He shifted nervously on the bench in front of the rink, and he could feel his hand sweating as she held it tightly in hers. She looked over, eyeing him with concern. "Hey, Are you okay Jon? You seem really... nervous." He smiled sheepishly as she giggled softly, blushing herself. "Yeah. I just, I mean.... You're just..." God, what are you doing? You've never screwed up THIS bad before. He smiled despite his mental arguing, and stuttered as he attempted to speak to her. She tilted her head, smiling wider than she was before. "You're so cute, you know. I think i'll call you.." She looked up at the bright blue sky, seemingly forming her thoughts into the clouds. "Jonno." She smiled again, her bright white teeth nearly blinding Jon as he stared at her. "That's fitting." He chuckled and kissed her cheek, earning him a bright red blush from her. "Yeah! You need a nickname, you're too adorable not to have one." She reached up with her other hand and stroked his hair, something she did many times during their short duration of time together, and it occurred to Jon that she enjoyed the soft, silky texture of his dirty blonde hair. Normal people would consider it weird for a girl to pet a guy's hair, and Jon didn't appear to the unacquainted eye as an anomaly, but he couldn't deny the fact that frankly, he enjoyed it. She smiled as he tilted his head towards her hand, and she fixed his part line, combing through his hair with her delicate fingers. "Thanks for the new hairstyle." He smiled, flipping his hair and chuckling as his bangs ended up blanketing his face. "Hey!" She quipped, reaching out again to steady his head with a hand on his cheek. "Hold still! I have to fix this tiger's mane you call hair." He put on his best "pouty face", and sat still for her as she once again combed through his hair, sweeping his bangs to the side of his face, and puffing up the top layers of his cut. "Perfect. You're now acceptable enough to be seen with me" She laughed again, moving slightly closer to his face. She whispered now, seemingly eliminating anything or anyone else out of Jon's view. "I'm just kidding" She giggled once more, "You always look great... Even if your hair is a big mess." She smiled, her cheeks slowly turning pink. Jon looked down at his feet, then back up to her, smiling wider than he has in a long while.
"Your blushing is perfect. I love watching you go from cool and calm to pink and nervous. Its really.. cute."
He chuckled and once again and kissed her hot pink cheek, blushing harder himself.
"And by the way I love my new hairstyle" he said as humorous as he could, even though his thoughts were unraveling at how beautiful she seemed to him.
God she is so beautiful.. She told me earlier she thought she wasn't and I can't imagine why...
"Thank you, Jonno. I'm hoping that I can... do it a lot more often." She looked away, her whole face now red with embarrassment. It's her way of asking to see me more often. That, I can handle. "Yeah! How about tomorrow at my place?" She whipped her head around, laughing at his subtle manner. "That sounds kinda wrong, don't you think?" He gave a chuckle, and slammed his forehead into his palm. "You know what I meant... Would you like to have dinner at my place? Well, I mean you don't have to... But i'd like you to. I really... really like you a lot Dani." He turned his head away from her quickly, hiding his extensive blushing. She smiled softly, slowly and gently moving her fingers closer to his hand. Her fingers laced over his, and she placed her free hand on his burning red cheek, turning him to face her. "I really really like you too, Jonno. I would love to come to dinner with you. Spending time with you, it makes me happy." He closed his eyes, thinking over mentally what she had just said. "Spending time with you... It makes me happy." Jon had girlfriends before that, who told him that they were happy, but they never specified why. "I'm so happy, Jon." They would say. But no one had ever told him that they were happy specifically because of him. He opened his eyes, and smiled very gently, putting his hand over hers on his cheek and slowly slid it down onto the wooden bench. "Your happiness... it makes me happy."
