A.N~ Gosh guys, I'm sooooo sorry I haven't been updating regularly! School is a hectic, time consuming place. Do you guys want me to continue? I hope you guys like this story, hehe :3
The sound of laughter echoed through the seemingly empty house, and it occurred to Tim that it wasn't real life, just in his head. She had left an hour ago, along with his brother, Jon, but he could still hear her voice echoing over and over again in his head. Tim knew he shouldn't feel this way, especially since she was in love with his brother, but he couldn't stop himself. He didn't have a choice but to love her, how could one not? She was kind, cute, and most of all, she had the most pleasant, bubbly attitude about everything that Tim had adored since he was 5 years old. The memory was replaying in his head like a broken record.
/Flashback/
The door of the cafeteria swung open, and an explosion of endless chatter flowed from the school lunch room. Timothy Foreman, a 5 year old first grader, held his wicker basket full of food close to him. It's not like it was his first day or anything, no no, it was close to the end of year, actually, but Tim was extremely shy. He couldn't help it, he was just always so shy and nervous about everyone and everything. His eyes scanned the room quickly, and he spotted a young girl holding herself and crying. Slowly, he made his way over to her. Tim knew the young girl, but he wasn't sure if she had known he existed. No one had, actually.
"A-Are you okay?" He said quietly, blushing and sitting next to her, but not too close.
She looked up, and smiled slightly.
"Yeah. I'm fine.... Tim, right?" She blushed.
Tim was shocked. Someone actually knew his name? Tim had no idea how a girl so pretty and kind could've known his name.
"Y-Yeah!" He said softly, then blushed again.
There was a short silence between the two, and the young girl sighed, then closed her eyes. A single tear slipped from her face, down onto her pale yellow dress. Tim didn't know what to do, he had never had the courage to try and help someone before. His squeaky, quiet voice threatened to crack.
"Hey.... Don't cry.... I-I know what'll make you feel better." His small, nimble fingers pried the lid of his basket off, and he slowly pulled out the vanilla pudding that his Mom had given him. Tim blushed, nervously sliding it next to the young girl's lunch tray. "Here, have my pudding. It's my favorite, so I think maybe you'll like it too." He smiled nervously, kicking his feet.
"Timmy..." She sniffed. "It's your favorite, though."
"I know." He smiled. "But all I want right now is for you to be happy."
She looked down and smiled softly, opening up the small container.
Her soft lips closed onto the spoon, and she smiled.
"This..!" She laughed.
He giggled. "You like it?"
She nodded, and took another bite. Soon, all of it was gone.
Tim had noticed something about the girl. She got really hyper when she was happy. He liked to think of it as a little "burst of happiness"
She bounced in her seat. "Timmy, that was great!" Both of her hands slapped her cheeks, and she squished them in glee.
Tim smiled, sighing slightly as his cheeks turned bright pink.
"So, what is your name?" He bounced a little.
She giggled once again. "Danielle, you can call me Dani." She smiled wider and poked his cheek gently with her small finger.
