New Girl In Town

Chapter 7

A/n: Hello everybody! Today is January 8, 2020. I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to update; I was reforming my platform and all stories. Sorry to keep you waiting so long for an update (if anyone was waiting at all)!

Y/n sits there, looking at everyone's shocked faces. Alexei looks between them, completely oblivious to her confession. "I came back to find my sister."

Eleven stares at her with her mouth open, her eyebrows scrunched as she rapidly tries to comprehend this. "Mama...gave me a sister?"

Y/n laughs wryly. "More like Mama gave me the sister. But I lost you. And I've never and will never forgive myself for that." She looks up at Robin. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I couldn't tell you. Not until I was absolutely sure it was safe." She looks around. "Does anyone have any questions."

The group looks amongst themselves, then shakes their heads "no".

"Can Eleven and I talk alone?" Y/n asks.

Nancy frowns, but Eleven stands up. "Yes." They walk into the bathroom off the basement and sit down on the floor.

"El, I'm so sorry I left you. I tried so hard to grab you, but they had you before I could get back. I thought about ways to get in, but I knew I would end up getting captured again," Y/n says, her eyes filling with tears.

"I just can't believe I have a...sister. And you're here," Eleven says, still bewildered.

Y/n takes her hands and squeezes them. "What happened? How did you get out? Did you attack them?"

She shakes her head. "I opened the gate."

Y/n pales. Being an experiment herself, she's familiar with the Upside Down and In Between. "I released a...Demogorgon and ran away. Dustin, Mike, and Lucas found me when looking for Will, who was taken by the Demogorgon. I fought it, and was taken to the Upside Down. I got out though, and Hopper found me. Adopted me. Nobody knew I was still here, though. Max and Billy showed up, and Max joined the team. I found them and closed the gate, or I thought I did. Then, last year, the Mind Flayer got out and possessed Billy. We all fought it at Starcourt, and Billy sacrificed himself. So did Hopper," Eleven explains thoroughly.

Y/n nods, putting the pieces together about what the "demogorgon" and "Mind Flayer" is supposed to be. "I see."

"And the girl you were talking about...008. I found her. Before I found the group again, I went into the city to find her. She never mentioned you, or anybody else for that matter. But she's living with others that have been thrown away...and they kill. They kill the bad men."

Y/n huffs. "Hm. Good for them." She looks back at El. "Did you kill anyone?"

El shakes her head. "I almost did. But I didn't."

"That's good."

"I have killed before...when I escaped from the lab...bad people were after my friends."

Y/n frowns. "I understand that. You didn't have a choice. I've been in that position before." She pauses. "I love you, Eleven. And I promise I'm not going to let you go again," Y/n says. El looks up at her with big eyes.

"I love you too, Y/n." They hug each other tightly on the bathroom floor. They head back to the main room.

Nancy steps forward. "How do you know we can trust you?"

"How do you know we can't?" Steve pipes up.

Eleven steps between the two. "We can trust her. She's my sister."

Y/n looks at Robin, who is biting her thumb nervously. "Robin. Can I talk to you?"

She nods and follows Y/n outside to the side of the house. "Please believe me when I say I'm sorry-"

Robin holds up her hand and Y/n abruptly stops. "I- I'm not mad at you, Y/n. I'm just trying to understand what I've seen and what you've told me. You...have magic powers. Like El. Who you're also related to. You're Russian. I...don't have a good history with Russians. Especially your dad."

Y/n cocks her head in confusion. "He is far from my dad, but what do you mean?"

"The way I play into all this was because I cracked the Russian communication code that led Erica, Steve, Dustin and I going to the base. Erica and Dustin escaped, but Steve and I got caught and tortured by your father and his comrades. I still have scars, both mentally and physically, from it."

Y/n pales and clasps a hand over her mouth. "I'm so sorry, Robin. He's a horrible person, I know." She looks up and catches her bright ocean eyes in her golden ones. She steps forward and wraps her arms around her tightly, hugging her close. 

Robin's eyes widen and she hugs back. When they pull back, their arms are still wrapped around the other. Robin's eyes flicker from Y/n's eyes to her beautiful lips. Slowly, she lowers her lips on hers and kisses her softly, her eyes fluttering shut in bliss.
