"you better not grip onto me tightly." [y/n] mumbled, feeling a bit embarrassed.

she was on paul's motorcycle, with his hands holding onto her waist as he sat in back of her. at first, [y/n] believed that the awkward movements and touching would be too much, though she couldn't be more wrong. it was as if her hips were a perfect fit around his hands.

[y/n] hated how her initial thought was indeed working. this really did feel like a movie, though with the presence of the lost boys, she didn't quite know which genre.

"i could hold you tighter if you want." paul snickered, beginning to become increasingly comfortable on the bike.

the race had begun while [y/n] wasn't paying attention. if paul didn't call out 'go!', she was sure that she might've stayed in the same spot forever. the bike's wheels tore up the sand, sending the small rocks flying in back of the motorcycle. she furrowed her brows, feeling a bit competitive. [y/n] assumed that she should attempt to be victorious.

a loud screeching sound could be made about ten minutes into the race. [y/n]'s motorcycle came crashing to a halt as she saw michael's bike crash up ahead. she stopped the bike and hopped off, making her way over to michael hastily.

"are you okay?" [y/n] urged for him to answer.

though he didn't respond to her. instead, he picked himself up off the ground quickly. [y/n] glanced instantly at what michael had just seen. he purposely crashed. [y/n] was at the end of a cliff with these people.

"what the hell do you think you're doing, huh?" michael roared, planting a heavy punch onto david.

[y/n] could hear star cry out a 'no!' before she could even reply.

marko, dwayne, and paul all held him back. david felt his face with his gloved hands. it was only a soft sting to him.

"just you and me!" michael's eyes were glued to david. "c'mon... just you."

[y/n] didn't say anything. she was pissed, yes, but also disappointed. this guys were cute! of course, no one was perfect. [y/n] had just met them. of course. she shouldn't ever expect anyone to be perfect, really, though a part of her wanted them to be.

everyone could look like ants from where she was now, her back facing them. she couldn't see the tiny nod david had given marko, though she did hear tiny stomps on the sand.

"why so down?"

[y/n] raised her head, now looking directly at marko. the curly haired blond wore a confident smirk that, she had to admit, was cute on him. [y/n] shook off her feelings and pursed her lips.

"y-you were just back there—"

"i don't think i know what you mean."

marko walked over to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder as both their bodies faced the crowd on the edge of the cliff. he lifted his free hand up, saying swiftly, "why don't we just head back?"

"with you and the others? i don't think so." [y/n] chuckled, removing his arm from around her shoulder swiftly. "i'm planning on walking back to the boardwalk, thank you very much."

marko laughed faintly. "do you know where that is?"

"y-yeah, it's um," [y/n] twirled around. all she saw was the beach, a couple of trees, and no lights anywhere for any clues. "shit."

marko laughed again, but much louder than before. [y/n] sighed as his arm was once again spread out around her shoulder. feeling her body inching closer and closer, she made her way back to the boys and star once more.

she shouldn't have come with them, but she did. [y/n] waltzed around a cave clumsily. the boys didn't mind the setting. it was like home to them, she supposed. michael must've hated being here as well.

"you're one of us, so what's up?" [y/n] heard a voice speak to her.

[y/n] glanced at them. it was paul. she raised an eyebrow, attempting to be sly. "what?"

"y'know," paul sighed, "you could quit the whole 'human' thing anytime you want."

[y/n] bit her lip in nervousness. she didn't respond. instead, she chose to look at the floor. star sighed, an apologetic look on her face, but [y/n] didn't see. she felt eyes on her. they held a heavy stare. she didn't leave. she was scared of the consequences.

but in all honesty, a part of her didn't want to.
