Everyone sat there shocked, "The bleed is big and there is no time I have to go in " Derek said, Mark came back in the room " he is 3 hours out " he said with a frown. " Richard there isn't time, we could wait for him and she will be brain dead or we could prep her and I can fix the bleed " Derek looked at him dead in the eye. Meredith started to bottom out. Cristina and Derek ran out and brought Meredith out of scan. He checked her pulse " it's there but fast " He said when Cristina took out her stethoscope, she listen to Mer's heartbeat, " Push 10 mg of Diazepam, we need to prep her now " She said putting the stethoscope around her neck. They transferred her on the gurney and they took her to pre-op. " she needs a craniotomy and there is no time no waste " Derek told the nurse. " Derek you can do this, don't be scared, don't think about her. She is just another patient " Richard said through the intercom. Derek nodded and left. Richard put his head in between his hands and let out a sob.
In Pre-op...
Cristina pushed fluids in her person when Mark came in, "do you need help " he asked. Cristina sighed " I did everything except I didn't shave her head, I couldn't bring myself to do it " Cristina said taking a deep breath in and looking at a lifeless Meredith. Soon she got paged 911 she looked at Mark " ill do it it's ok go " he said walking over to Meredith's head. He grabbed the razor and started.* buzzbuzzz *
He watched as beautiful blonde chunks of hair was on the floor. He didn't want to shave the whole head but Mark thought it would be better so they can relive the pressure. As soon as Mark was finished he wiped off the last of the hair on the head the scrub nurse came in to take Meredith. He nodded and took one last look at pale, bald, intubated Meredith. " you don't die ok! There is a bunch of people waiting for you " he said walking out in the opposite direction. Meredith was on her way to the O.R when Alex and Bailey came walking out of surgery when a familiar face was on a gurney being pushed to the O.R.
Bailey and Alex stood there and saw their colleague, friend, family and student being rushed in. " was that- " Alex asked not finishing his sentence. The two shared a look then started to run towards them.  Meredith had reached the O.R to see Richard transferring her onto the table. " IS THAT MEREDITH GREY?! " Bailey demanded. Richard looked behind himself to see Bailey and Alex at the door. Richard sighed and Alex put a mask on his face walked in putting his hand on Meredith's head and making it down to her face. " your gonna be ok " he whispers to himself. Bailey walked up and saw her intern, she was shocked about how pale she was, to be honest she looked worst than the drowning incident. " we have to go so they can work " Richard said showing them the way out. They both left and Alex went to find Cristina.
Richard asked one of the scrub nurses to drap Meredith's face so Derek wouldn't freak out. Derek came and scrubbed in, he took a deep breath in and let it out. He got the gown and gloves on. Derek stared at the bald head in front of him until he had the head light on . " 10-blade " he said.

Mark walked his way to Lexie's room. She was sleeping, she looked so peaceful. Mark went it and laid on the bed next to her, stroking her hair. Soon later hey eyes fluttered open. " hey " Mark said kissing her on the cheek. " hey she replied. She put her head onto his chests and let out a sigh. She looked up and Mark was think about something else. " what are you think about? You look worried " She asked him stroking his face. " it's Meredith " he whispered . Lexie froze wanting to know why the universe is so mean to her. She shed some tears and asked " what happened this time "
She kept thinking about her older sister.
" well you know how she had a seizure, well we all took her to C.T and found that there is a massive brain bleed. I called Dr. Hanson from Mass Gen. But he was 3 hours out and Meredith didn't have that kind of time left. So Cristina prepped her and I had to shave her hair off so they could relive more pressure on the skull. And at this moment she is in surgery right now. " Mark said shedding a tear he looked down at Lexie with her hand on her mouth. Mark could tell that she wanted to sob, he grabbed her close and tightly. But she pulled away, " do they know why she has the bleed? I mean did she hit her head anywhere or ?" Then Mark cut her off " they think it's because of all the times she coded and all the stress and traumatic experience she had. " He said wiping the tears off Lexie's face. Then Marks pager went off. He got up and kissed her on the forehead. " Wait Mark! " Lexie yelled as he turned back to her, " who is operating on Meredith right now? " she asked in confusion. Mark sighed " Derek... " he said leaving out the door leaving Lexie with an open mouth.

Mark came into Callies room. " what happened is everything ok? " he asked worries about his friend. Callie was sleeping, Arizona got up " I have to go check on the kids, could you take a look at her incision for me it looks wrong. " she said patting his shoulder and leaving out the door. Mark nodded and took a look at Callie and sat down opening up the big bandage that was covering her leg. Mark saw her leg and he noticed that her stitches were really bad as it was starting to get infected. He went out and asked a nurse to bring him a suture kit. He went back in the room and brought the hair out of Callies beautiful face. The nurse walked up with a tray with gloves. " thank you " Mark said going over snapping the gloves on he removed all the badly done sutures, he put the betadine gently around the wound. Her started to clean the wind up and he started to make perfect sutures. Callie started to wake up " hey! " mark said finally happy to meet with those chocolate brown eyes. " what are you doing " she asked. " those dumbass doctors didn't stitch up ur leg right so it got infected. Now I am doing it because you know IM THE BEST " he said with a smile. Callie chuckled. " how is Lexie? " she asked
" Lexie is fine, she is healing well and if nothing happens she can go home by next week "
" and Meredith "
Callie said worried for her friend
" Meredith um, she isn't doing well "
" wdym " Callie asked praying that she will be ok
" she has a massive brain bleed, I had to shave her whole head to they could relive the pressure her skull. " Mark said again while he kept suturing.
" oh my god! Wait but who is doing the surgery. Dr. Nelson is like 10,000 miles away."
She asked.
Mark looked at Callie and said " there is only one neuro surgeon in this hospital "
Callie rubbed her eyes knowing that Meredith's own husband is doing her brain surgery.
" you know if something happens he will never recover right? " Callie said looking at Mark.
He just sighed and nodded. Then Jackson rushed in the room, " Sloan! Come it's Lexie she is hyperventilating again " Mark got up and told Avery to take over. Avery cane and took over while Mark rushed out of the room.
" did you hear about Grey? "
Callie asked him.
But he simply shook his head.

Mark bursted into the room with Lexie starting to battle with Cristina. " Lexie I cant let you do that! STOP " Cristina yelled. But Lexie kept fighting her to get out of bed. " Mark! Come help " Cristina said as she tried to put a face mask on her. Mark walked in and grabbed Lexie's wrists and put them towards his chest. " lex look at me what's wrong? " he said looking at the fear in her beautiful eyes. " I- I need t-to go and be with Mere-Meredith " she said taking rapid breaths in between.
" you can't do that she is still in surgery, Lexie once she is out I will take you to her " Mark said trying to calm down. " BUT WHAT IF SHE DIES ON THE TABLE, WHAT IF SHE DIES AND I DONT GET TO SAY GOODBYE " Lexie yelled as she sobbed Cristina grabbed Lexie's face at brought it to hers " she will not die, Meredith will make it out of here alive and as the same person she ever was " She said as tears leave her eyes. Lexie nodded and sniffled as she put her head through her hands and said to herself " she will not die, she will not die, she will not die. " Mark laid in the bed beside her and held her close as she fell asleep.
