Percy POV:
Artemis slowly opened up to me and we started laughing and spending time with each other. During the first six months she was a bit distant but once I started bringing new hunters she slowly started to open up. One day after dinner, I heard sobbing coming from her tent. I slowly walked over and saw Artemis sitting on a cliff with her face in her hands and sobbing. I walked over and sat down. I asked her, "What happened Arty?" She didn't reply but her sobbing reduced to sniffles. I sighed and pulled her up. "Do you wanna go for a walk? I know the perfect place." She looked up and gave me a weak smile and a nod. I closed my eyes as she hugged me and lightning struck me. I teleported to a cliff in England.
It was just like the spot in Camp Half-Blood. Moon above, forest behind us and the ocean churning in front of us. "What happened?" I asked again. She sighed looking around. "I thought about all the Hunters I failed to save." I frowned. "Don't do that to yourself Arty. It's not your fault that they died. She brought her knees up to her chest and said, "I know but I wish more than anything I could get them all back." I loved her, I knew that much. The question was did she love me back? It was at that moment that she asked, "Can you stay here with me tonight?" I blushed. "Anything for you Arty." She said, "How are you so different from other males?" I wistfully thought back to the days when I had my mother. And Gabe. "It was my step-father. My mother married him to keep my scent masked therefore keeping me safe. He would shout at her and even beat her sometimes. I snapped. I called him a fat piece of walrus shit and that he wasn't worthy enough to even wipe my mother's shoes. That day he beat me so hard I broke quite a few bones and lost consciousness. After that day I vowed to always treat women with respect because I never wanted to become like him. My mother taught me my morals but Gabe cemented them in steel." I looked at her. She was glowing silver her eyes pools of liquid silver, and all traces of sadness were gone replaced by rage.
I sighed. "Calm down Arty. He is a sculpture, courtesy of Medusa's head." She dimmed and looked at me. Before I knew it, her lips were on mine, her arms around my neck. I was startled at first by slowly melted into the kiss. My arms snaked around her waist pulling her closer to me. We both pulled away at the same time. She was blushing and I was sure that I was too. I looked into her captivating silver eyes and leaned in again. After a kiss that I never wanted to end I pulled away again. I asked her, "Do you love me Arty?" She answered without hesitating, "Yes." That single word sent my powers into overdrive. The sea danced with all life in it, dolphins jumping out of the waves and all the stars flaring up. The moon glowed brighter than the sun as a breeze made my already messed up hair more messed up. Wolves were howling as the forest responded to Artemis's emotions. I extended my wings and wrapped them around her protectively. She relaxed and pulled it around her like a blanket. I grinned and laid down next to her. I felt a arm snake over my chest. I looked to my side. Those silver eyes were looking at me full of love and happiness. I pulled her closer and closed my eyes. Just before I slipped in Morpheus's realm I felt a pair of lips on my cheek and I smiled knowing this wasn't another Annabeth.
Sooo, what do you think? How is the story so far?
