The very next day, Liam woke up to his alarm blaring through the room. He groaned as he opened his eyes. He picked up his phone and looked at the clock. It read, 9.30 am. Oh no! I'm late! Liam mentally panicked to himself. He lifts the duvet off and get out of bed to see Zayn still sound asleep. "Zayn! Get up! We're late for school!" Liam yelled in his raspy morning voice. Zayn stirred a little before slowly opening his eyes to be met with Liam standing in front of him, naked. "C'mon Zayn! get up now, we're late!" Liam said again once he saw Zayn's beautiful caramel eyes. Zayn chuckled before saying, "Chill out, babe, at least put some clothes on" he said as he points at Liam's naked figure. "Shit" Liam muttered and quickly sprint to put a boxer on as his cheeks turns to a shade of pink. "Relax, Li, let's just skip" Zayn said as he patted the spot next to him. "I- no, no we can't skip" Liam said hesitantly. "C'mon Li, just one day, we can spend the day together" Zayn persuaded. "N-no Zayn, we, I-i can't" Liam started having a panic attack."Hey, hey... it's fine, we don't have to, yeah?" Zayn got up from the bed and hugged Liam as he tries to calm Liam down. Zayn kept whispering sweet nothings and calming words into Liam's ears. After a few minutes Liam finally calm down. "S-sorry..." Liam whispered as he buries his head further into Zayn's chest. "No, don't be sorry, it's fine Baby" Zayn whispered back as he cards his fingers through Liam's soft brown hair. "Are you okay now?" Zayn asked after moment later. Liam just hummed in response making Zayn's chest vibrate a little. "What actually happened? it's fine if you don't want to talk about it" Zayn talk again after Liam seems to relax. "I, had like a flash back" Liam said. "I remembered the time when my Dad found out I bunked off from school" Liam said again. "It, didn't end up good" Liam continued. "Shhh... it's fine now, he's not here..." Zayn whispered gently. "Can we put some clothes on now?" Liam asked and Zayn chuckled at that. "So, are we going to school?" Zayn asked after he let go of Liam. "We can skip I guess" Liam said as he goes in the bathroom with a towel draping over his shoulder.

Liam came out of the bathroom with droplets of water on his body and a white towel wrapped around his slim waist. Zayn stared at the beautiful sight in front of him until Liam clears his throat. "Um, I, I'm going out to um, have some fresh air" Liam stuttered as he feels Zayn's gaze on him. "Sorry" Zayn muttered as he lets out a nervous chuckle. "I, yeah, sure, I don't mind" Zayn said as a response to Liam's previous words. But what Zayn didn't know is that Liam doesn't go out just to have 'some fresh air' he's out to plan a picnic, a romantic one as a present for Zayn's birthday. He's planned it a couple of days back. He's planning on buying something as a present and set up the picnic. He's going out to buy more things for the picnic. So out he is now after getting dressed. He even has his bag filled with some stuffs for the picnic.

Liam took Zayn's car to the grocery store to buy the things required for the picnic he's planning. He's got half of the list of things packed in his bag so now he's looking for the other half which are a basket, some ready-made food, a bottle of wine and Zayn's present. After finishing his task, he drives to the place where Zayn had first asked him out, at the beautiful waterfall that they both love. It is such a beautiful place especially during that time of the season. The weather is cold and chilly. Liam laid down the blanket he packed in his bag on the grass that's right beside the waterfall. He places the basket with food in it on the blanket. He was taking out the bottle of wine when his phone rang in his pocket. He picked it up and it was Zayn calling. "Hey, are you okay? Just checking cause you've been out for an hour and half now" Zayn spoke, and it would be a lie if Liam said that his heart didn't flutter at Zayn's concern. "Hi, yeah, I'm okay, thanks for checking on me" Liam said as his cheeks has a tint of pink. "Alright then, when are you coming home?" Zayn asked through the phone as an idea comes to Liam's mind. "Babe, be ready in 10 minutes, kay? and don't question it" Liam said completely dodging Zayn's question. "I, uh, okay?" Zayn answered utterly confused. "Bye, love you" Liam said and hung up. He then texted Louis whom is at school, probably, and asked him for a favour. Louis has his own car, which he rarely drives because he is a terrible terrible driver, so Liam asks Louis to pick Zayn up as soon as school ends and drop him at the location Liam had sent. Liam also told Louis that it is his surprise birthday gift to Zayn and Louis agreed to help.

Zayn put on a casual winter clothing as Liam didn't tell him what exactly to wear. So he has a white t-shirt on with leather jacket and black jeans along with a beanie on his head. He then heard Louis' car honking. He goes outside with phone in his hand and sees Louis, in his car with the passenger's seat window rolled down. He gestures for Zayn to get in so Zayn did. "What are you doing here? and why are you driving? and where's Liam? and the res-" Zayn bombed Louis with the questions as soon as he climbs in but Louis stopped him. "Chill out Badboi, just go with the flow, yeah?" Louis said and Zayn definitely hesitated because one thing he doesn't trust Louis with is driving, but he nodded nonetheless. "I'm going to take a little nap and I better not be dead when I wake up, alright?" Zayn said once Louis started driving. "Don't worry, you won't even wake up if you're dead" Louis replied with a proud smile but Zayn just ignores him and closes his eyes.

"Zayn, wake up" Louis shook Zayn a little. Zayn blinked his eyes a couple of time before fully registering where they're at. "So, there's something waiting for you in there" Louis said as he points at the direction which Zayn recognises that leads to the waterfall. "From what Liam told me, he said that it's the place you asked him out to a date" Louis said again and Zayn could only nod. He get out of the car and waves at Louis and then walked his way through the woods to the mentioned venue. He then was met by the sight of Liam texting and siting on a blanket with a basket and a wine next to it with two glasses. Liam looked up moments later as Zayn is now walking towards Liam's direction. "Hey" Liam greeted as he gets up and pulls Zayn into a hug and then pecked his lips. "W-what is this all?" Zayn asked awe struck."Happy birthday, Zaynie" Liam replied as he pulls Zayn to sit with him. "I-i- wow, it's amazing" Zayn said as his eyes blown wide. "It's one of the presents for your birthday" Liam said and Zayn was bewildered. "What do you mean one of?" Zayn asked and Liam quickly fumbles for Zayn's present from his bag. He pulls out a teddy bear with 'Happy Birthday' written on it.

"It's so cute!!" Zayn cooed as he takes it. "Thank you so much, Liam!!" Zayn thanked as he hugs the teddy and then places it on the side. Liam watched the happy Zayn with a smile on. Liam then take out the food he had both packed and bought. They both eat it and enjoy the time they are spending with each other.
"Thank you so much, Liam, I love you so so much, today has been the greatest day ever" Zayn said as he and Liam are laying and stare in to sky. "Don't mention it, you are very special to me so I just wanted to celebrate it with you, just the two of us, and this place is like such a special place to me, cause you've asked me out right over there" Liam replied and pointed at the freezing waterfall. "I love you too" The rest of the evening was spent with them appreciating each others' presence.
