"GAOLING; 3 Days Later..."

"Hey guys...we've finally made it to Gaoling," I said as I shot up and gazed out the windows.
"Any sign of Guan?" Mako asked.
My eyes scanned across the plains for any visible signs of the man but unfortunately he was no where to be found. All I saw were a bunch of moo-sows grazing the fields below us. A few moments later I did happen to catch the figure of Mayor Rhee and his men from above waiting for us to land.
"No, just Mayor Rhee and a couple of elderly magistrates that look like they're about to keel over." I replied.
I turned around and walked over to Mako as I rested one of my hands over his shoulders. Kuvira looked up at me from her seat and sighed.
"Oh...Commander Guan will show up-" Kuvira snickered.
My body tensed up from her words as I looked down at Mako's dark hair.
"-And before he does , I need to get out of these rags and chains and into something more... presentable." Kuvira finished.
"NO WAY!" Mako yelled.
I gripped his shoulders as Mako's eyes widened in sudden rage.
"Actually, she has a point. Guan might refuse to meet with us if we show up Kuvira looking like a prisoner." Korra mentioned.
"I have some extra clothes Kuvira can borrow. I'll go pick something out." Asami chimed in.
We all looked over to her as Korra brought herself up and continued trying to figure out the plan. Mako leaned his head back against my chest as he brought his hands over mine. My lips came up to a curl as this was my first time comfortably showing any sort of affection toward anyone in front of others.
"While Kuvira changes, King Wu and I will meet with the mayor, I'll radio if we need you. Come on Naga." Korra ended as she gestured for me to follow her.
Naga was happily panting behind Korra as she started to walk toward the main doors. I looked down at Mako as he nodded for me to go ahead. Mako then told me to be safe and to stay with Korra at all times. I rolled my eyes and said my goodbyes to everyone. My eyes veered away from the rest of the group as I made my way over to the doors where Korra was waiting for me.
'You ready?" Korra asked.
"I believe so." I nodded.
I let out a heavy sigh and followed Korra out of the room as Naga trotted behind. My mind was beyond filled with anxiety as I wasn't able to do much about it. But there was a sense of calmness since Korra was here to help. A few of the guards made it their own to accompany us while we separated from the rest of the group to meet up with Commander Guan.
