Ezra hated having to be live bait. He found himself reflecting on how many times he had been in this situation before. Perhaps he should have gone with Sabine. It didn't matter, Ezra took a breath, and used it to make sure he was certain of his decision, and released his grip on the force with the force. Before the mission, Soa had instructed him on how to create a small lightning storm around him. Ezra had practiced until he didn't find it taxing to do one at the level he intended to. He would save that surprise for when the Grysk weren't expecting it. The door flew back as the Grysk forces finally broke through. Ezra quickly ignited his lightsaber and cut through the door as it flew towards him. The next moment, Grysk troops came charging in to the room, and Ezra started to cut down as many as he could. Ezra knew he wouldn't be able to keep this up forever. Reaching deep inside, Ezra picked up the rocks with the force, and threw them into the Grysk, blocking the door and any more of them from getting inside. After deactivating his lightsaber; Ezra forced open the entrance to the service ducts and jumped inside. He took a deep breath, before reaching his hand and crushing the room around him. The room collapsed above Ezra, who closed the hatch before diving out of the way. If he hadn't used the force to boost himself out of the way, he would certainly have been killed. Panting, Ezra stood as he reached out with the force to find Thrana and his friends. He did so quickly enough, and set off towards them. It didn't take him long to hear their voices. He reached out with the force, trying to determine if there were any active threats nearby. There weren't. he sighed, and rounded the corner. "Master...?" Thrana said. Ezra was about to speak when Sabine rushed forward, a look of fury on her face, and punched him. Shocked, Ezra pulled back. "Ok, ok, I deserved that" he said. Sabine must have been glaring and furious with him. "You deserved a lot more than just that!" she snapped. Ezra sighed. "Yell at me later" he said. "We need to get who we came for." Sabine nodded. Ahsoka gave them both a look. "I'm scouting ahead" Sabine said. Ezra nodded. "Thrana, go with her" he said. Thrana nodded, and Sabine gave a sigh, and walked ahead stiffly. Ahsoka gave Ezra a look. "She was worried Ezra... do you know what lying to her back there did?" asked Ahsoka as they started to walk after the other two. Ezra nodded. "I did what I had to, to keep you, and both of them, safe" he said. Ahsoka sighed. "What happened between you both on Oolrund?" she asked. Ezra considered how to answer the question. "Things that I'm still trying to work out for myself" he said. Ahsoka nodded. "You know, I would be willing to continue your Jedi training, don't you?" she replied. Ezra thought it over, and appreciated the change of subject. "You're not a Jedi, you told me that yourself" he said. Ahsoka sighed. "I can teach you what I learned up until I left the Order" she said. Ezra shook his head. "Why offer now? You said what you said, and its too late to take that back" he said. Ahsoka sighed. "I made a mistake, can you really say you don't understand that?" she asked. Ezra shook his head. "I know you made a mistake in saying it, but you said that all the same. Its also when you said it, the first time I had been able to properly speak to you since you found me. You questioned everything I did, everything I've been through for the last five years!" he said. Ahsoka nodded. "I did, but I did so with good intentions" she said. ezra shrugged "The intentions don't matter, I needed your support, not your judgement" he said. Ahsoka sighed. "Fine, lets change the subject, what will happen with you and Sabine?" she asked. Ezra shrugged. "Not for me to decide. Hopefully something good" he said simply. "I see..." Ahsoka said simply. "You're right you know... I don't know what you've been through over the last few years" she said. "I want to change that." Ezra shrugged. "What is there to tell? I was here fighting a losing war after about a week or two helping fly Thrawn's old Star Destroyer here. That's all there is to it" Ezra said. Ahsoka nodded. "I'm not going to push you to talk about it ezra... just remember, I've fought in a war as well" she said. Ezra shrugged. "So have I" he said. Ahsoka shook her head. "You fought in a rebellion, not an army, there's a very big difference" she explained. Ezra shrugged. "Not from where I'm standing" he said. the two walked on in silence until they found Sabine and Thrana. "We've found Eli" she said. Ezra nodded. "Good, are Rex and Munro with him?" he asked. Thrana nodded. "Alright, lets get them, then we'll find who we came for" he said. Thrana and him got to work, trying to find a way to quietly free the others from the cell they were trapped in. Ezra knew they would be discovered eventually, but while they could move quietly, they would. "Got it" said Sabine, who had been hacking the terminal. Ezra allowed himself to smile at her "Nice work" he said. Sabine gave him a nod, although he had no way of knowing if she had returned the smile. "Rex, Munro Eli, you good?" he asked. The three humans nodded. "Aside from a semi brutal interrogation after you got out, but if you mean ready to finish the mission, yeah" Rex answered. Ezra gave him a smile. "Alright, you three head for the control center, get the rest of the Chiss forces out, and hold the hanger until we arrive with the Skywalkers" he ordered. "We've got it" said Eli. "Just bring all of em home." Ezra nodded. Followed by Sabine, Thrana and Ahsoka, he headed to find the Skywalkers.
