Mira layed down on her couch, reading through her script. Hours passed, it was already 1 am, she woke up with papers on her face. She sat up, grabbing her phone beside her, squinting by the brightness of her screen.
She saw an article buzzing in the website, her upcoming web-drama with Ryu. She read the comments and most of the people were his fans, excited by his first drama. Uneasiness struck in her, thoughts started to flood her brain.
"If I don't do this right, his fans might hate me." she gulped. Suddenly, playing the lead role with Ryu looks unattractive, both of their face on the cover of the article showed which one looks more professional.
She turned her phone off, grabbing her script again, memorising until 2 am.
...
"Ryu, try gently throwing the milk carton at her."
He nodded in response and took their places, Mira sitting on the bend in the hallway and Ryu coming in from the vending machine.
"And.. Go!"
The camera was rolling, Ryu came with an annoyed face, Mira smirking from afar.
"Here.." His deep voice echoed in the hallway, throwing the carton at her.
"H-hey!"
It was written to be a perfect catch but the carton almost slipped from her hands, "You..." she glared at him, Ryu snickered.
"Cut!" The director called.
"Mira, that was perfect.. I thought we have to record the scene again but you made it better!" The screenwriter clapped her hands, the director beside her nodded.
"Perfect?" Mira eyes shone, she always wanted to hear the compliment. "Thank you!"
The continued on with the shooting and without realisation, one week have passed, the first episode has finished filming.
Mira was grateful working with lovely people at the set, and tomorrow was her day off. She walked down the streets, enjoying the cold autumn air, looking at the Han river from afar.
She felt silly, her hand intact with her cap ever since she exited her car. She didn't want the same occurrence happened again. She was fully in disguise.
Suddenly a sweet scent catched her attention, the beautiful Han river was lovely but the scent of freshly baked bread was something she couldn't resist. A small bakery was still opened, and Mira's mouth watered looking over the variety of breads.
She entered the bakery, and saw someone giving away a flower arrangement of chrysanthemum. She didn't know how long she was staring at the flowers until the 2 people caught her stares.
"I'm sorry for the waiting, is there anything you wanted to order?" The middle-aged lady smiled.
Mira averted her eyes and nodded, pointing at the bread displayed in the glass counter. The shoplady thanked the man and proceed to packed her breads. Mira turned her head and her eyes caught with his, it was the same guy at Moonlight florist. It's been a while time since she met him, her hope that he will remember her already vanished.
"Here's your bread dear.." the shoplady pulled out the paperbag filled with breads, handing it to Mira. She set her phone aside to retrieve the bag.
Mira thanked and took a last glance at him before leaving the bakery, hearing the last conversation before the door behind her closed.
"Thank you for the beautiful flowers Keonhee.."
His name is Keonhee, Mira naturally made a mental note.
"You're welcome, miss!" That was the same cheery tone.
She was halfway to her car, she realised something was odd in her handbag, she checked her bag and rummaged through it, her predictions was correct. She accidentally left her phone at the bakery.
She groaned and turned back, to see Keonhee running towards her. She looked closely at his hand, her smartphone was in his care.
"Shoot! He's coming!" She panicked, trying her best to remain calm and pulled out a smile. Not that he can see it.
"Hey, you left your phone..." he caught up to her.
"T-thank you!" She cursed herself, why did she had to stutter. He gave her the phone, their hands gently brushed against each other.
"Are your ears okay?" Keonhee asked, after spotting her ears going red.
"Y-yes! It's just the cold!" She exclaimed.
"Ah.. I see. I better get going, I hope you warm yourself up! Goodbye!" He bowed and left her with a bashful smile.
"Goodbye.." She whispered, her heart beating faster than ever.
She entered her car, putting the breads at the passenger seat. She started the engine and pulled the gear, but she didn't want to budge. Her grip on the steering wheel tightening, how can she act that way around him.
She is an actor, she must be composed. Being with him broke her poker face, if she ever played cards with him, he could definitely see through her. Why would she even think playing a game with Keonhee-
She groaned and hit her head against the wheel. He even caught her blushing, the coldness was only a mere expression.
"What is even wrong with me?!" She cried out loud, before hitting the gas.
How can she comfortably act like her own self with a stranger, she should be taking care of her image. Like Min Yunha.
Yun Mira is only an awkward woman behind the face of an actress.
She entered her apartment and saw the carnations in the glass vase starting to wilt, she frowned and already knew what she wanted to do on her day off.
She face-palmed herself, she should have listened to what he said on how to take care of it.
...
Keonhee returned to his humble flowershop, it was pass evening. The alleyway will be busy tomorrow, as it's famous with the people on the weekends. He walked upstairs, to his home.
Nobody comes to the flowershop during the evening, especially on weekdays as it's almost their closing time, but only a particular someone came in during that time. Especially after her making a grand and funny entrance into his shop.
"What am I hoping exactly?" He chuckled while skimming through the sketchbook in his hands.
He turned his gaze outside, the lights in the alleyway started to glimmer, cozy restaurants and cafes started to open. He sighed, getting deeper into his thoughts.
Deep down, He actually hoped she will come again.
