"Victoria wake up for god sakes."I sat straight up, breathing hard. My surroundings where unfamiliar for a second, until my eyes slowly adjusted to the bright lights.
Cafeteria.
I realized i was sitting at a circle lunch table and had 4 pairs of eyes staring at me. Cleo sat to my right, her long black hair braided to the side. To her right was Kate, who had dirty blonde wavy hair a little longer than to her shoulders and wide green eyes. To her right was sam, who had bleach blonde hair and light blue eyes. finally, to his right and to my left was Dylan, who had dark brown hair and warm brown eyes. My old best friends before i had moved.
"She woke you up when you started to shake." Sam looked worriedly at me. "It was about him, wasnt it?"
I took a moment to catch my breath. it was a dream. He wasnt here. He was dead.
Slowly i nodded.
"Im fine, dont worry about it." i put a smile on my face. "It just happens sometimes."
I realized now i had never gone to the bathroom during 4th period. I had just sat there listening to the teacher drone on and on until the bell rang.
Kate looked worried but smiled at me, then took Sam's hand. They had been dating for over 2 years now.

By the time school let out, i was overly exhausted and wanted to get home asap. By the time Kate dropped me off at home i was almost asleep.
Murmuring a small thank you i stumbled up my porch stairs and opened the house with a yawn. As i walked into the house a cool breeze hit me.
Drafty i thought to myself, and threw my bag on the chair by the front door. I strolled into the kitchen and grabbed an apple. After scrolling through my iPhone for a while, i decided to do some homework. As i walked back towards the front door where i had set my bag, i noticed an open window in the living room. A cool breeze flowed through the open pane and into the house and it was getting dark outside. i shivered slightly, and walked over to close it.
As i clicked the lock on it, i heard a slight shuffle on the floor above me. It wasnt much so i ignored it. I walked back to where my bag was and grabbed my stuff, sitting on the couch. As i got my things layed out i replayed the dream in my head. It had seemed so real.
I had to admit i was jumpy ever since last year. I ran my hand over the scar on my upper left arm, an old habit that reminded me of it.
Another shuffle pulled me back to reality, this time louder, and i instinctively went to the pocket of my backpack where i kept my pocket knife. Pulling it out i stood up, just as i heard another shuffle. I tip toed to the front door and peered up the stairs.
"Hello?" I called out, and immediately regretted it. Did i want to be killed by some psycho that could be lurking upstairs?
Slowly i climbed the stairs, one by one until i reached the top, my hands shaking. Carefully i inspected each room, but nothing was there. finally i reached my closed bedroom door. Taking a deep breath i grasped the handle, tightened my grip on the knife, and swung the door open to meet-
Nothing.
My room was completely empty.
I quickly checked under my bed and in my closet and in any other corners someone could be hiding. There was no one in my house.
As i sat on my bed i pulled a blanket around me, telling myself to calm down.
I looked to my window, which lay slightly ajar. It wasnt unusual, i always kept it open a little. California air was usually warm, plus it kept my room smelling good. But tonight there was supposed to be a big storm, so i hopped off my bed and strolled over, clicking the window shut. my eyes wandered to the dark clouds forming overhead, and i shivered.
I glanced at the forest that lied behind our backyard, and had to do a double take. A dark form was attached to a tree off to the right. Was that a... Human? But that area was off limits, own by a natural resources organization who "took pride in keeping America's nature clean".
As quickly as i saw the form, it was gone, and i shook my head a little.
Get it together Victoria i told myself you overreact over everything now
I was walking back to sit back down on my bed when something caught my eye. A picture was hung on my cork board, which i was positive was empty of anything when i left this morning. I stepped closer to view the picture, and when i realized what it was i strangled a scream.
The picture was will, but not the handsome will i had seen in his missing picture. This picture was of Will, looking dead into the camera with terrified blood shot eyes, raw bloody wrists, bruises all of his body, blood running from his mouth, nose, and left arm. This was Will shackled to a pipe.
i noticed a small black march on the bottom right corner of the picture. A signature. I screamed again as i read it.
You cant hide, Tori
Sobs racking my body as fear engulfed me.
No no no
But this wasnt a dream
I stumbled to my bed, like i was drunk, hand over my mouth trying to muffle the sobs. I knocked over multiple things and shattered a snow globe. I dug through my bag, grabbing my phone and calling 911 as fast as i could. As i lifted the phone to my ear the cold liquid of the snow globe flowed around my feet and glass shards sliced through my skin. Tears slid down my face.
