Victoria's POV
I wasnt sure how much time had past
I didnt allow myself to cry, not letting him win.
I had woken up around 30 minutes ago after being lulled to sleep by the soft drone of the engine as the car rolled along.
After the gas station we had driven away for around 10 minutes before he stopped the car to pull me out. He successfully tied my hands behind my back and my ankles together after slapping me across the face more than once.
My left arm was freshly bandaged, as he had insisted on cleaning the wound he had created with the gun. I didn't have much of a choice, seeing that he threatened to shoot my other arm when i shrunk away from his touch and spit on his chest. I figured two shot arms wouldn't do me good in the long run when i attempted to escape.
So i sat on his bumper and allowed him the clean and dress the gun shot.
Since i was fully awake now and felt completely energized, i assumed i had slept for multiple hours. I had no doubt he was taking me far from home.
The car suddenly jerked to a stop, throwing me forward so my bad arm slammed into the side of the trunk. I groaned as the roof of the trunk was lifted, sunlight pouring into the cramped area.
"Get up, we're home."
Will's POV
My head snapped up as soon as i heard the door slam. Voices flooded down the hallway and seeped under the door so i could hear them. I struggled to stand, pushing my arms up and pulling them towards me to the chain caught on pole. i leaned back and pulled myself up.
Straining, i leaned forward to try to hear what was happening. My brown hair fell into my eyes and i wished i could brush it away.
"-cant just keep me here locked up like some kind of pet!" A feminine voice was saying, putting the emphasis on pet. A clamor followed and something crashed, a loud thump sounding.
"I can and i will." another voice replied, this one familiar. A voice i had learned to hate so much over the past few weeks. I shuddered as the sound of glass shattering filled the empty spaces in the room. The door to the basement was thrown open and a body was shoved harshly through the opening.
"Ill be back soon, so dont get any ideas." I could see him standing in the doorway and immediately scowled.
The recently shoved figure grabbed the railing to steady herself as the wooden door slammed shut, the door clicking locked.
"Shit," the figure rasped, the voice high and a feeling of deja-vu overcame me. I couldnt remember exactly but the voice was familiar.
I watched as the figure spit and raised their hand to wipe what i assumed to be blood, away from their mouth.
They stumbled down the stairs, muttering something under their breath. In the dim light from the grimy lightbulb hanging from the ceiling i wasn't surprised they hadn't seen me.
Judging by their high voice and curved figure i guessed they were female. My eyes followed as they turned at the stairs and headed to the back corner away from me. As i watched the girl circled back around so she faced me, but her eyes were down.
She knelt and began to tap on the wooden floorboards, apparently listening for something. I could tell no difference in the noises vibrating from them, but she seemed to. After hitting around 4 she stopped on one. She hit the left edge of it hard with her fist and the wooden board came loose. I watched in amazement as she plied the board up.
From my position in the chains i was unable to see what lay under the floor, and i strained forward. My movement caused the chains to clink together.
Fuck
i snapped my eyes up, only to see the girl standing up, a few steps closer, staring at me in shock.
I could see her more clearly now since the light bulb that hung over me sent ghostly pale light over her. Her long wavy brown hair hung loosely in waves down her back and stringing around her face. Her navy T-shirt and grey cotton shorts contrasted against her tan skin. Her hazel eyes filled with recognition as soon as mine did.
