After winning our final match against Team V, we returned to our room for a small celebratory dinner. It was fun, eating all the delicious foods we'd been previously deprived of during our stay. But it seemed one could never truly relax for too long at Blue Lock.

Half way through our meal, we were rudely interrupted by Ego popping onto the screen to remind us that not all the stratums had finished their matches and therefore we would have a week of intense training in waits for their conclusion. We would find out the next day just what that "intense training" entailed.

And find out, we did. "Intense" was a disgusting understatement. If we'd thought our previous workouts had been bad, these were hell by comparison.

To make matters worse, it seemed my gender reveal had at last spread through the entirety of the fifth stratum. I often found myself being approached by boys throughout the halls as they attempted to talk to me.

And it was beginning to seriously piss me off.

Unlike me however, Bachira seemed to be enjoying the attention way more than he probably should have been. "Clear the way, please! Knight in shining armour coming through!" He'd shout every time he caught me fighting off a band of boys before whisking me away.

"I'm not a damsel in distress, you know," I tried unconvincingly one day after he'd pulled me away from a particularly persistent group.

Bachira chuckled, sending me a look I couldn't quite decipher, though mischief twinkled in his eyes. "You could just say thank you."

I shoved his shoulder lightly, attempting to hold onto my frown, though as always, he was making it difficult. "Shut up."

I hoped things would start going back to normal as the week progressed, but no such thing occurred. It was bothersome to have the same persistent boys pester me, most attempting to get me to practice with them. I assumed it was the best form of a date they could offer at a football camp. Though I'd found it funny at first, the humor had departed quickly.

I'm going to punch the next person who comes up to me, I violently decided as I grabbed my meal tray and glared around the mess hall, daring anyone to step forward, though it didn't do much. I was approached almost immediately.

"You're Saito right? I was wondering if maybe-"

"Saito! Over here!" came a voice off to the side. The boy before me paused, glancing around in search of whoever had just spoke. I took his momentary distraction to slip away.

"Isagi!" I breathed a sigh of relief as I approached him. "I swear you just saved that guy. I was about to beat his ass."

Isagi looked surprised before letting out a laugh. "I was trying to save you from him, but I guess that works too."
