I practically run the few feet it takes to get to Tom's office. I frantically knock on the large wooden door, hoping he wasn't doing something too important. The door is opened a few seconds later by Harrison.

"Oh, hey, Haz." I give him an excited smile, squeezing passed him to get farther into the commodious room.

"Hey, girl! What's going on?" He asks with a slight chuckle.

"I need to learn to be a cold sarcastic son of a bitch! And there's only one man who can coach me in that." I smirk and look over at Tom who is leaning back in his leather desk chair, his arms lounging behind him, his hands behind his neck.

"Wow, love you too, darling." His usual playful smile begins to form on his thin lips, causing my insides to burn with passion.

"Please!" I beg with a pouted lip.

"Good luck, mate." Haz says with another quiet laugh before leaving the room.

I press my hands together, closing the distance between us. He still doesn't remove that devilish smile from off his face, his dark eyes following me.

I continue to grow closer to him until I am standing directly next to him. I slowly lean down, placing a soft, long kiss on his lips. "Please?" I whisper in his ear with a sly smile. He shifts in his seat with a small chuckle.

"Don't you have a phone to attend to? I don't pay you for nothing, Miss Y/l/n." Bingo. There he is.

"I'm taking my break so Noelle is going to hold all my calls for the next fifteen minutes." I say in a low, slightly deep voice.

"I guess I can set aside some time for you." His smirk becomes more of a smile as his act is starting to fail.

"Perfect." I try and hide my excitement, stepping away from his chair. Tom stands up, straightening out his white button down before crossing his arms.

"Show me how mean you can be." He says simply and I squint my eyes slightly.

"I thought you were going to show-" He cuts me off.

"I said show me how mean you can be." His face grows stern and his voice automatically becomes deeper and I can tell that he's doing exactly what I want him to do. "Show me what little miss secretary can do to punch back."

"I don't need to show anything to you." I return with a small sigh and a little roll of my eyes.

"Oh really? Than who is going to pay your bills for you? How would you like to be on the streets?" He continues, his face unwavering.

"I don't need you. Or anyone for that matter. I can very well take care of myself." A small smirk forms on my lips and I can feel Arabella coming alive inside of me.

Tom grabs the script from off the desk, looks at it briefly, and then brings his gaze back up to meet mine. He grows a light smile and points into the middle of nothing. "Welcome to your new home." He says softly in an American accent. I know my character is supposed to be American as well, and thankfully I had been practicing my accent.

"So this is paradise, huh? So homey." I barely roll my eyes, but it is still visible. I place my hands on my hips and look around the room with an unsatisfied expression. "I'd rather rough it out here than be a part of whatever kind of cult this is." I start to turn around, but Tom grabs my hand.

"Please, give it a chance. You'll die out there."

I shake my hand free, looking at it and then back to him. "I've come this far, I think I'll be fine."

"Arabella, we've come all this way, stop being such a bitch." He says the line of the main character and I shoot him a death glare and pretend to grab a knife from my pocket and hold it up to his throat.

"Watch it, pal." I warn with a playful smile and wink.

He rolls his eyes, moving my hand away. "Just go through the damn gate." He says. I pretend to look over at the character Tom had been playing before.

"Don't think this changes how I think about you and your all white 'aesthetic', creep." I say and I start to walk forward, but as I "pass" Max, I make eye contact and quickly look away.

"That was perfect!" Tom exclaims, picking me up in his arms and spinning me around. I can't help but start laughing, my heart pounding with excitement.

He gently puts me back down, chuckling himself before kissing my lips through a wide smile. "I did it!" I keep laughing as he continues to place kisses on my lips and my cheeks.

"You never cease to amaze me." He says, his lips curving into a small smile and his cheeks becoming a light pink color.

"It's my personal goal to amaze you." I wink towards him, placing a hand on my hip with a small giggle.

"You've gone above and beyond in accomplishing that." That tiny smile grows slightly, his face visibly relaxing as his head tilts to the right. "If you keep up the way you acted just now, you'll get the job for sure."

"If I do get this job...will I still work here?" I ask, rubbing my arm gently with nervousness.

"We'll think about all that once we get to it. Don't let the future scare you, my love." He steps closer towards me, cupping my cheek in his hand. "This is your dream and I'll always be there to support you in them. Whatever it takes. Okay?"

I nod my head a few times with a sad smile. The fact that he cares so much about my aspirations and how much I want this makes me love him even more. "Thank you."

"Of course." He says quietly before leaning down, his lips making contact with mine for a few seconds before pulling away.

"I should actually get back to work or else my mean old boss is going to fire me." I giggle, Tom playfully rolling his eyes.

"Oh, what time is the audition on Friday?" I ask quickly as the thought pops into my head.

"Four. We'll be leaving work early that day and Haz will hold down the fort here." His hands go into his pockets, giving him such a laid back exposition that part of myself just melts away.

"Alright, will we be done by six?"

"Yes, why?"

"We're having dinner at my parents at six. Don't worry, we'll arrive together."

"Wouldn't miss it." His smile sends a warm feeling all throughout my body, something that he always seems to do without even realizing what he's doing to me.

I leave his office with that sense of a pull again, wanting to spend every minute in his company even after all that happened today, which has made me quite exhausted if I am being honest.

Once I sit down at my desk and do my usual spin to look out at the city, I pull out my phone and pull up Charlie's contact. She'd love to hear all about my dramatic day since it feeds her thirst for adventure.

The way I want a relationship like theirs so bad but legit no high school boys are worth the trouble lmao!

I hope y'all enjoyed this chapter even if it was a tad short.

Break Down Your Walls is doing so well and I'm so happy that all of you are enjoying my writing because it's one of my biggest passions and to see people loving what I am making is a feeling only a few get to feel, so thank you!

Hopefully I will be able to make the next few chapters longer as the end of this story approaches (don't fret I will have other books too!!)

Again, thank you so much <3
